Whats this thread about? oh, ok. Mackey was a defensive captain at Syracuse. I dont know if hell make the team or even contribute. But I always liked him as a player. Good character guy who I would love to cheer for with the Jets. Maybe on special teams or something. Hes the son, or nephew, not sure, of John Mackey. The old great TE.
I've never heard of him and he's not on the nfl website. I'm guessing he's just another body to have at tc. I agree... I mean, why do you have to do it? It's really not that clever and it's really annoying. Isn't having it your sig enough?
I don't get it. I come here to read about the Jets. Is anyone's life so boring/depressing that they need to create a specific, differnt persona (assuming that you don't use ".............." when writing papers/memos/emails or trail off after every single thought you complete speaking in real life), complete with annoying trademark, on a sports messageboard. To -MC-: thanks for the info on Mackey, that's good to know. You never know which "camp bodies" will end up making an impact during the season; Oliver Celestin had a pretty big role a couple years ago after coming into camp as a nothing, and I'm sure there have been a ton more recent examples.
