We seem to have a problem with brooms being left in the closet, but at least we're back to winning series.

    8/3- O. P?rez vs. Chien-Ming Wang - 7PM
    8/4-K. Davies vs. P. Hughes - 1PM
    8/5-G. Meche vs. M. Mussina - 1PM

This is another series that could easily be win the first 2, lose the last game.

Maybe Arod will get his 500th off Meche to go along with his 499th off Meche... :)

Another hot game Saturday but I bet Hughes lasts more then 1+ innings. Shouldn't be quite as hot Sunday.

Boston has 3 with Seattle and 3 with LA. That can't hurt either.

I haven't been this excited about a Yankeee game in a long while. 95% of that is because of Phil. (The other 5% is knowing that it's not Igawa.)

Heh, in this case, I'm giving 110%. (Igawa takes up at least 10% on my "thank goodness it's not him"-ometer.)

I guess Henn goes down to make a spot for Hughes. Still not sure how they make room for Giambi and Chamberlain. Probably Bruney (if he even has any options left) and Duncan. I hope they aren't keeping those guys in the minors because they can't figure out how to bring them up. I heard some lame excuse yesterday that they would bring up Giambi Tuesday because Monday is a day game in Toronto. WTH does that matter to a DH anyway?

I still don't think its right sending Duncan down for Giambi...besides the fact that Duncan's bat has been more useful compare to Giambi's this year, and he's better on the bases - Duncan can play a defensive position and be less of a liability than Giambi is.

I don't either and that would give Torre a lethal rightie/leftie platoon at DH with both of them but I don't know what else they can do. Actually, Duncan can't play any position. Giambi is actually a better fielder. If you look at the Yankee roster Duncan is listed as only a DH.
