Mangini with Chris Rock Who is this fool..someone tell him its the off season..Who the freak works harder then our coach.A. Sandler and K.James are huge Jet fans. I doubt Coach Mangini takes in many premieres once the season start..I swear I can't get the pic up It's Official: Eric Mangini Is a Celebrity Posted Jul 23rd 2007 1:41PM by Michael David Smith Filed under: Jets, New York First he was on The Sopranos, and now he's hanging out with Chris Rock. Jets coach Eric Mangini is a celebrity. In the picture, Rock and Mangini are at the "I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry" premiere. So here's the question: Do you actually want your team's head coach to be hobnobbing with famous people? On the one hand, the Sopranos appearance was cool, and it can't hurt to have Chris Rock as a pal. But on the other hand, aren't NFL coaches supposed to be spending 23 hours a day breaking down game film? This is the kind of thing that makes him even more beloved if he wins, and even more criticized if he loses.
Mangini seems like the kind of guy who works his ass off. Even nfl head coaches need to have a little fun.
He's worked hard and dropped some weight... he should get a few perks for that. At no other time in his life is he going to rate standing next to some of these guys and getting the attention/credit he deserves. Ya gotta soak it in while it lasts. Average coaching career in NFL is what, 3.5 seasons?
He looks good, let the man relax, he went to a freaking movie. And he's the coach of the best team in the NY, let him enjoy more than the perks of LI.
there are perks of LI?!?! No, I agree, let the man enjoy a mnovie, I have no fear that he's going to get caught up in the celebrity lifestyle and run his coaching career into the ground, just not going to happen.
It's still the off-season for cryin' out loud. Now if this was a picture taken before a New England game during the regular season I would definitely frown on that. I think when it comes down to business, Mangini is completely focused on what needs to be done and when to buckle down.
Maybe Mangini is just trying to get some entertainment for team for some time in the season. Get Chris Rock to talk to the guys a day before the game to loosen them up.
I'd prefer that Mangini didn't have a vein the size of a gym rope bulging out of his neck by the time he reaches Belichick's age. I like the idea of him losing weight and showing a good face (albeit pretty meek) for the fans. I like the idea that the HC of the team is leading by example instead of pulling the Head Coach Footballaholic Obsessomaniac act which involves little actual interaction with the outside world and in the personal lives of his players. I also think that Michael David Smith is a dumbfuck.
i'd say it's good anytime you can embrace the lifestyle of such a big city you see a lot of guys crumble to the pressure of new york, obviously mangini is not phased by it
thats just retarded...even if it is exaggerrated...You go to see Chuck and Larry with your friends, he goes with Chris Rock and Adam Sandler. big deal.
You can bet Eric has his priorities in order, Coach surely deserves to have some fun in his off time. I have nothing but confidence in Mike & Eric.
He doesn;t look liek he is tryign to be some superstar, he is just standing there... My question is: Why Eric Mangini? Is he getting all the attention because he is young, is it his subtle sense of humour? I jsut find it weird that all of a sudden he is this well-known guy...I could see Jeter being there or something....I dunno...
