Hi Fellas... I received my Jets tickets about an hour ago. All you other ticketholders should be getting yours shortly. The envelope included the usual $1.00 off coupon on Turkey Hill ice cream (my favorite). From time to time, I might sell some of my tickets if I can't make the game, but for God's sake, don't ever ask me for the Turkey Hill coupons. They're strictly hands off. My Pre-Paid Parking Permits were also in the envelope. They say "Valid for all lots except 9,11 and 15." I've got one permit (ticket) for each game, including the preseason games (I hold 4 tickets). I should also point out that in small print at the bottm of each ticket it reads, "The one car, one spot policy will be strictly enforced. Violation of this rule may result in the expulsion from the parking lot and stadium and/or suspension or revocation of season tickets."
Get a load of what accompanies the ticket package. A separate sheet spells out "Important Parking Information:" SATELLITE PARKING INFORMATION 1. The cost per car and SUV will be $25. (The parking permits at the stadium were only $15). 3. School buses will provide shuttle service. Return trips to the satellite parking area should be complete within 1-1 1/2 hours after the game. (Sounds like fun). 5. (IN BOLD) All forms of tailgating in the satellite lots will be prohibited and strictly enforced. 6. You may not bring large items (including coolers) on the shuttle bus. Whatever items you bring on the bus must stay within your seated space. 7. No drinking or eating permitted on the bus. 12. Security personnel including Lyndhurst police department will patrol the lots. Kind of makes you glad you purchased the Prepaid Parking Permits now.
They're a montage of green, white and black images. I'm sure somebody will post a pic. Looks like photos of Mangini, Chad, Rhodes, Ellis, Vilma, Hobson etc. all mixed together.
This is so fuckin stupid. I understand the whole satellite parking lots thing, but to boost up the price on top of that is ridiculous. They should be lowering the cost of parking considering that we will no longer even be near the stadium, will have to wait in endless lines to get on a shuttle, and can't even fuckin tailgate! This is extremely poorly planned. They are treating fans like shit.
At $25 for Satellite Parking, the Prepaid Parking permits will be at a premium. I can almost envision scalpers selling Parking Tickets for upwards of $30-$40 per game. "Oh, you want a Parking Permit with these Jets tickets? Well, that's another $30!" If somebody is selling tickets on eBay or Stubhub, they'll be offering the Parking Permits for an extra charge or at the very least, using them as a throw-in or closer to entice buyers to pay more. Even guys like me and Baamf and others with the Parking Permits, it's still going to be a hassle getting into the games. You know they'll sell the hell out of the Prepaid Parking Permits now (they say there's still time to purchase them in the flyer that came with the tix). So it means they'll probably sell every last one now and all of us will have to get to the games even earlier than before to find a spot amongst all the lunatics jockeying for position in limited numbers of parking spots.
To get our curbside spot in lot-18.. my group has fully accepted that we will need to leave 7AM for 1PM games and 9:30AM for 4PM games. And we live in Central Jersey. And we're paying $75 per game for our RV parking pass (It's not much longer than a crew-cab pickup).
Guys, feel fortunate there is actually parking by the stadium... Some stadia do not even have parking... it's 100% satellite.
I live in central Jersey also. For me, on a quiet Sunday morning, it's a 30-minute drive to Exit 16W. I usually try to get there about 2-2 1/4 hours before KO, but I'll have to leave earlier now, that's all. Another 15 minutes in the parking lot is no big deal... I enjoy it anyway. 16H works best for me because I enter Gate C, so I park right near the gate and have immediate access afterwards to Rte 3 - TNPK.
I don't know about anybody else, but just getting my hands on these tickets and Parking Passes is getting my pumped. Now I can't wait for TC to start and then it's the Preseason Games and then.... WOOO-HOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring on the season baby!
i still haven't gotten my tickets yet. But then again, we (me, my dad, and my brother) go through a guy my dad works with. But the asshole decided to give our third ticket to his brother-in-law after 13 fuckin years. So now the one thing that my dad, brother, and I all went to and did together is shot. I really am quite pissed about it. We now have to work around my brother and dad’s work schedules to see who can go to what games. God I can't wait till my brother gets to the top of the waiting list in another decade!
I'm still at work so I will probably get them when i get home, but do they have individual parking passes for each game, or is it just one hang tag that you have to use for all the games?
I used to get in the Lots by 9:30-10:00 for a 1:00 PM game. The first game I already made plans to be there by 8:30! I have been actually thinking sometimes about going to the Racetrack the Night before and sleep in the car! The track closes at like 1 AM, sometimes they even have racing from Japan until Dawn, Just load up the truck and spend a weekend in the lot!
Hi Big Poppa, They're individual parking passes (tickets) for each game. They look like mini season tickets. You have to bring each one to the game and probably hand it over.
That made me laugh out loud:lol: You're still the man 227. Doesn't a Subway drop off relatively close to the Meadowlands?
Why would it be harder to get into the lot if you got the pass?? I dont see getting in being a issue at all. I am not sure about getting out yet. Since I have the pass for all the games I am going to I am just going to hope it works out. I am now happy I don't have opening day
