I wonder if David and Cakes make an appearance tonight...

Once he has another bad game they'll show up to comment.

    You can't lose 'em all.

Is St. Rogers ERA under 5 now?

Very nice win. 5-1 Yankees win with Raja going 8 strong, 2 hits, 1 earned.

    Wonderful performance. Win #350.

But of course SOMETHING bad has to happen...ARod strained hammy.

I came to this thread to post exactly that (not so much Cakes, because he's at least cerebral when making a case)

Big win, it was said during the post game but his is how you start winning streaks. You get wins before Wang pitches. Wang Silva tomorrow. We should take that matchup hopefully.

    Rocket Man pitched tonight?
If so, his next two blast offs will be July 8 and July 13, 14 or 15 (depending upon how NYY begin rotation after All Star break). I will probably not be here to comment on either blast off due to a vacation.

It's just one of those years, we get a well pitched game, we hit and yet now we have to worry about ARod's injury.

Unless it's really bad I can't see him going on the DL. Last time he was there was 7 years ago in Seattle. He must be a quick healer and he has that football mentality. Hopefully it's only a day or two.

This is unbelievable. We can't just have a game where everything clicks. On a night where Roger is in total shutdown mode, almost everyone has multiple hits, even Abreu, SOMETHING has to go wrong.

ARod going out is a nail in the coffin, IMO. Waldman said on the postgame that it was a tweak, and that it would be re-evaluated today, so hopefully it's no more than a couple days on the bench. I don't mind losing him until the break, but any more than that, and we're finished. He could use the rest for a few days anyway. (IIRC, he's played in every game this year, and only DH'd once.)

It's really getting difficult to hold onto faith at this point. We really need to get on a tear, or we may as well just pack it in.

I was at the game last night... was in the section where the Abreu HR landed...

I was in the last row up there and it was about 9 rows in front of us. it was insanity.
