I know I'm getting a little desoerate, but I think I'd give up a third rounder dor one the OL mentioned. We need help on the line even if Kendall stays ... and he won't. i hope a trade or a cut takes place prior to training camp.

Hell. We (some) believe we're still a "rebuilding team" and are still a year or two away for a legit run at a Championship. Maybe we should expect a less than stelar year with a tougher schedule and just watch the youth movement improve.

I'd absolutely give up a 3rd rounder for this guy. He was a possible top 10 talent for the 08 draft.

If he's top 10 talent, then a 2nd wouldn't be too much to give...it would be like using next years second to trade up to the first this year...and we could pay him 2nd round money and have him learn the NFL game for the extra year whether he played or not. Who cares if he's a dumbass, how hard is it to play guard with ManGold telling you what to do?

6'9'' is way too tall to play guard in the nfl, chad would float his balls up this guy's ass all day long...wait a minute...

    Need more O depth

I say a guy this big should be given a shot. Ok so maybe he's unmotivated or mentall challenged, but I bet if anyone can edumacate him it's Mangini.

Gaither has tremendous potential, he's the one player that I'd been really anxious to see enter. I wouldn't even blink at giving up a third rounder for him, I could see him go for a two though. Huge kid, great RT prospect with some coaching, was still behind some people for 08, but this will get him his shot.

So he's dumb, as long as he isn't criminally insane, what's the big deal. "Hey hoss, stand there, and when I say so, put that guy in the different colored shirt on his ass."

how do you shit on someone because they had a rough go with their grades? it doesnt say he was a bad guy....maybe he just couldnt do algebra....who knows? i guess everbodys a critic....

theres 4 interesting guys in the SD.....and its def worth a flyer for a 3rd or 4th rounder to get a guy with his size that you could mold into a RT (or even LT if brick got moved....) id like to see us make some noise and bring in another young player since we only drafted 4 guys....another young OL would be perfect! im not saying i still wouldnt have wanted justin blalock.....but....

    AGREED.

Unacademic does not mean can't play football. For all we know this guy might eat, sleep football and knows nothing else. Often if a person like this is given a chance they grasp it with both hands and give it their all , which may not be enough , but at least you see what they are all about.
