When there is a positive that I see will be advancing the NYJs chances of becoming SB CHAMPs I will immediately PM you about it. Until then there recent 0-38 SB record & there knack of collecting medicore players should have you as upset at them & in fact EVERY NYJ fan should be upset at the product being put on the field year after year Why do you not post what you see are positives that the NYJs have had remembering that anything less then a SB CHAMPIONSHIP is a UNSUCCESSFUL season. Why not post for all us all the players we have in the HOF who played for us in 70s, 80s & 90s When was the last time we won a AFC CHAMPIONSHIP? Do you know what the NYJs all time record is from the time of there inception as the Titans in 1960? So because I do not see what you see you charge that I "hate" the NYJs so your task now is to prove me where I am erring in my assessment of the NYJs. All I am saying is that JV is just another medicore player in a very, very long line of medicore players. Now if you feel differently fine but MHO is that at the ultimate end of JV career he will be just another NOBODY & beyond NYJ fans will be totally forgotten by the FB world.
I have no agenda toward you. Frankly, I dont know why I got sucked into this foolishness that ive seen others on this board fall into w/ you time and time again. If you want to be miserable about every exciting young player this franchise has from now till the end of time, obsessing over a championship and letting it affect your love for the game of football, and the franchise...thats on you.
Well then I guess your hatred post was just BS since you added NOTHING positive as I asked which is typical of all of you on that side of the fence that attack me but when I ask any of you to provide positive you scurry underground real fast like. As I said when I see they have obtained SB caliber players I will immediately inform you of that fact via PM. What obsession when the last I knew is that the regular season is played to become SB CHAMPIONs & not winning the SB or being second best means you had a UNSUCCESSFUL season. I think you have to sit down & think about that for a bit & I am sure you being a nice logical poster will see the error of ways with your thinking. As for JV it is my MHO if you disagree somewhere down the road we will see who was more right about his NFL career when he traded/cut or retires Oh yes & BTW this is from another poster concerning winning the SB or being 2nd best Kentucky Jet Totally Addicted Join Date: Aug 2002 Location: Lexington, Ky $ this from another poster PMCRW Rookie Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Miami, FL -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: Originally Posted by Kentucky Jet I strongly agree with you on this. Oh come on now, Champ! You have absolutely no right to say anyone runs from an argument or changes the subject, or anything else of that sort. Just about anytime you are in an argument it eventually turns into a "We haven't won a SB in 38 years and haven't had any good players since '69". All of your arguments are based solely on ANY little bit of negativity a player may have, no matter how minute and irrelevant it may be. Honestly, anyone could argue that any player is not deserving of the credit they get or their production, or anything else by just finding one small negative and repeatedly hammering away at it, much like you do with Vilma's size and our team's 38 year SB slump. BUT, FACT IS Vilma has consistently PRODUCED in his three years with us, not just with high numbers of tackles (i.e. leading the legue in 2005) but also as a leader and general on the field. There are few players I would rather have playing MLB for us, and I know damn well that the vast majority of the teams in this league would LOVE to have #51 on the field for them. Also, just a little tid-bit of information we may all want to think about: Who is responsible for making the most tackles? That's right, the LINEBACKERS. Now, when transitioning from a 4-3 to a 3-4, you are adding one more "tackler" into the game - so theoretically, the other three linebackers total tackles could take a hit of about 25%..... kinda makes sense to me as to why Vilma's totals were down a bit.
Oh, so that's your new excuse? "You don't listen to it 24/7 so you didn't hear it." Stopping spreading MISINFORMATION champ.
Yep just because he did not hear does not mean it was not said. Same goes for you BTW. You also saw that another poster CONFIRMED the ESPN report I have mentioned many times did you not concerning Brick?
Facts are facts I asked him for positives & what did I get NOTHING. No difference then many others when I asked them for positives & got NOTHING. Why do you not attempt to take a whack at giving us all some positives if you think that I was unfair? That is also correct the season is played to win the SB anything else is 2nd best & I hope you want to be 1st & not 2nd best. Once you & others understand that & stop pussy footing around that is why the regular season is played for maybe we would all get to like each other much more since we are then all on the same page.
There's a report on EVERY player drafted. However, you hear things in these reports that don't exist. Every OLman coming out has to work on technique. But you take a comment like that said about our draft pick and twist it in your warped little brain and try to make it seem like they said he sucks. You really have no grasp of the English language, either how to write it or read it. That's been proven time and time again. Apparently, you can't understand anything that you hear either. Stop spreading MISINFORMATION and spreading rumors. You seriously are like a kid sitting around a campground fire that's told a story and then completely fuck it up when you're passing it to the next kid.
Ah so now you confirm there after your berating me & accusing me of lying that such a ESPN report really/truly existed. Now if nobody saw Golic input on that report & video then to bad on them for not being as diligent as I was in watching & listening. IMHO you to also should step back & think why the regular season is played for. You should also ALWAYs want your team to be 1st best & not 2nd best so when your team has not the SB in any season that season was UNSUCCESSFUL
Why don't you attempt to take a whack at giving us some negatives? Other than the usual, Vilma is small and we haven't won a SB since he's been here.... Here are some of my fact-based positives - most of which have been said already. I honestly don't know what other kinds of positives you could want from a guy that has been in the league for only 3 years - but I do know that not many players have ever had this much success this early in their careers. DROY Tackle Title Pro Bowl Leader of 2 playoff defenses in 3 seasons Top 5 in total tackles over the past three seasons
Not to mention Vilma stepped in as a rookie in his second or third game and immediately took over calling the defense and running the huddle. How many guys can do that and be successful right away?
I've been keeping up with this back and forth argument and I really didn't want to get involved and beyond this one post, I don't believe I will. I just want to say the following to Mr.-I-hate-Jon-Vilma-and-the-New-York-Jets: 1. "Hear" is to receive something through your ears that your brain disseminates as sound. "Here" means to give something a location, as in, "Here is this piece of bullshit post by some guy living in 1969." I know its a message board and you're arguing in the heat of the moment and saying things you don't mean. But if you're going to be an asshole and trash the NY Jets and JV, please, spell things correctly. 2. In response to your comment about everyone posting snide remarks, please re-read your posts and consider maybe the fact that you're being a jackass. 3. The points have been made, if I didn't have a life and could waste my weekend sitting around arguing about the validity of JV in a 3-4 defensive scheme over a 4-3 scheme, I would. But I have a life, so I didn't and I'm seeing this for the first time at work. 3a. You should seriously consider the fact that maybe you're not a true NY Jets fan. We have a stigma for always believing in our team, coaches and the individual players. You don't exude any of that. Instead, you're a front runner. You will only be a Jets fan when they win a Super Bowl. Which, yes, they will win one of those in the near future. And when they do and you celebrate, it'll be a false celebration because you're not a real fan. Those of us that stuck with our team and supported them while others -- namely Patriot fans, and you -- put them down; will be able to celebrate with real smiles on our faces. Meanwhile, you may be happy and celebrate, but we'll all know that you're not a real fan. 3b. JV will fit the defensive scheme and DBrick will pan out to warrant his selection and his salary. Thats just my bold prediction. 4. Lastly, stop posting while you're behind.
What you have been saying about Brick in that "report" and what Kurt said are two totally different things, or as you would like to say, "like nite and day". I'll believe what Kurt has to say over you any day of the week because he doesn't come across as some grumpy, over-the-hill, pompous, arrogant, blowhard who thinks everyone else is wrong about everything. It's called "credibility" and you have none and never will. I'll never take anything you say seriously because you can't even understand people when they're typing things out, which means you can go back and read it over and over again to comprehend it, and you want me to take your word for something you think you heard on the radio? Please. You're like the boy who cried wolf. You quote stats that you claim exist, but can't post links to them. You quote radio interviews that no one else hears. You just love being miserable. That's your thing. I guess we need those types of people in the word too unfortunately.
If JV stats are posted in TGG as they were then to bad on you that you are not aware enough to have seen them. Just because you do not hear or see something does not mean it does not exist even this era that lives in with the net at our fingertips
I saw them, and I also remember that his #'s were very close and even more favorable to many MLB's. You don't acknowledge that because that takes away from your hatred of him. And yes, even I don't hear something or see something, I know exists. But here's the reason I discount everything that comes out of your mouth: you're too stupid to understand what you see or hear. You twist everything to suit your argument, and when no one else agrees with your twisted, fucked up logic, you go back to your 0-38 garbage.
