I really liked Damon, but this is getting ridiculous. This crap on top of his constant praises for Boston.

I liked him, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I really liked him. He was servicable, but nothing more than Bernie gave us (and I was never a Bernie fan.)

He picked up a "last paycheck" with this Yankees deal. Now he's just biding his time before it runs out and he can retire. It's sickening. It's Carla Pavano all over again.

I want to get Teixeira in here. Get the great bat and glove at first, and figure out something for the DH slot. I really wouldn't mind giving Thompson a shot in left, and moving Matsui to DH. Or maybe Andy Phillips could make the transition to left, since 1B would be locked up.

If this team doesn't fix this lineup soon, we may as well pack it in. If you're going to get dominated, not just beat, but dominated, by the second tier teams, you may as well not bother making it to October.

If Teixeira doesn't cost us Hughes, make the damn deal.

So who is next on the list? Mack?

Don't feel bad bro, 1) you've had the best run of us all yet. 2) now you can get that terrible sig off.

Man things are either horrible or phenomenal in Yankee land with you. We cant get Teix unless you wanna give up Hughes or 3 arms in the minors which longterm is not worth it for a first basemen. We cant dump damon now we shouldnt dump Damon now. It was pointed out on the telecast that Damon said his ribs are shot. Joe cant put him in there if he isnt ready to go. Now I am pissed about Joe handling the pen, but what the hell can he do about the lineup? Bottomline is Teixiera equals shit load. I would rather wait till he hits the market

Heh. Personally, I pass over many of Alio's complaints about matters. I don't think there is a single thing you can do about the Yankee lineup for this series (except for not playing Posada and first base). Look at the NL lineups around the league and see how their 7, 8 and 9 hitters are. Joe's not at fault there for the time being.

And for Cashman, we only rip on him when a player goes bad after the fact? I guarantee you were were all praising Cashman's signing in August last year when Damon was setting the table. There couldn't have been a fan talking bad about him then. Now he gets some injuries, and we want to fire the guy that signed him? And then on top of that make matters worse by trading the farm for a free agent to be in a position loaded with offensive machines.

i don't know who wrote that arod was going to hit 4 homeruns, but he's not this series.

but it would be cool if he hits 3 in this last game.

WTF?!?!? Is this guy hurt or not?!?!
    ------------------

I'd still like to get Teixeira anyway. I've wanted him here for years, so it's not like I'm suddenly believing he's the "last piece" of the puzzle.
    ------------------

Oh, and I'm not a big Damon fan, and never have been since he's been here. He does set the table, but his being injured every couple weeks is really working my nerves. That's after watching him move like he shits his pants in the outfield, then throws like a little girl.

If Damon is playing every day as the DH, then I'm happy. And there's no excuse why he shouldn't have been on the field this entire series. He's been hanging out for weeks on the bench now. If he can't stay healthy sitting on his ass, then WTF do we need him for? This series he could either have played first, or center. (Preferably 1B since I'd rather Melky covers the outfield in Rocketball Stadium. Even though it's not really Rocketball anymore. Weighing down the balls = BULLSHIT.)

I'll have to say, I hope the Yanks make the playoffs just so Joe comes back another year. It makes me feel all warm & fuzzy when you guys are complaining about him..

Lopez was an O right? So he knows the Yankee lineup well. Could be trouble.

Joe Girardi turned down the Orioles job. He'll be the Yankees manager when Spring Training begins next February.

Not if Steinbrenner has anything to say about it(I'm pretty sure he will)Apparently he has a hard on for Mattingly(clone of Torre?)becoming the next Yankee manager.
