Going to the bottom of the 6th...

    1-0 Yanks.

This is sickening seeing Andy pitch his guts and he gets no run support.

    Matsui SUCKS in LF...

5-1 Colorado. 2-out RBIs and the Yanks look dead.

    This is a joke.

5-1. Good God. Ecko called it. I thought the Yankees would handle the Rockies with ease.

It sucks being right, but I didn't think the Yanks would be losing scoring so little of runs...But losing in high scoring games...

Clemens tomorrow night to avoid the sweep...Jeez, big letdown.

    Well, maybe 2 instead...

Although Francis is solid, but to hold this team to 1 run...Gimmie a break.

    Fogg and Francis...

    Disgusting.

No, it's not Torre's fault we send a lineup that starts off with Cabrera and ends with Phillips and our pitcher, right? I guess someone else is making the lineup card up before the game...

How many teams change their lineup when they're winning that aren't named the Yankees? I don't think there's many. How many times does Johnny Damon need to show that when he leads off the Yankees stand a far greater chance of winning?

No, instead let's just keep free swining Melky in the leadoff spot, since that's working out so well.

Yes, it's disturbing that the heart of our order is leaving runners on base, but let's think about baseball for a second. Opposing ballclubs in the NL know damn well that the Yankees are average at the bottom of the order, at BEST, when the most talented lineup is in the game. Cano, Cabrera, Cairo isn't a bottom three that's scaring most teams.

Then we go into a NL park, and that bottom changes to Cano, Phillips, whoever is pitching, then back up to Cabrera. So rather than a weak bottom 3, with at least a true top of the order coming around to protect them, we have a dismal bottom 4, since Melky may as well be a second #9.

Basically, you're going from an average bottom third of the order to a miserable bottom HALF.

Pitchers don't need to give our heart anything to swing at. They know they can put a guy or two on, and challenge guys like Alex, knowing damn well they can get the outs back at the bottom.

We're making Rockies pitchers look like Cy Young hopefuls. It's disgusting. How Torre doesn't get the blame is beyond me.

BTW junc: I gave Torre credit for every move I thought was good during the winning streak. You never responded to any of them. That's not my fault. I'm fair to the guy. The problem is, he does far more wrong than he does right.

What do you want him to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damon is HURT!!!!!!!! who else can we play at first???? cairo was playing well but is he the dfference maker? Cabrera is doing fine in the leadoff spot, we didn't lose b/cof those players in the lineup. we lost b/c Pettitte lost it late and the big batscouldn't do anything. W/ Jeter, Abreu, ARod, Posad, Matsu and Cano the yanks should be able toscore more than a run per ame regardless of who the other 3 batters are. Stop blaming Joe and put te blame where it belongs- on the big hitters in our lineup.

Damon is hurt? Funny how every time we hear that he magically makes an appearance as a PH. If he is really this unhealthy, then let him go the route of Pavano, and be done with him. Get another quality bat in the lineup and stop pussyfooting around. I'll pin that one on Cashman, feel better?

I'm not denying that the core of the lineup should be hitting. Of course they should. However, when the lineup goes from Jeter, Abreu, ARod, Posada to Matsui, Cano, Phillips, Pettitte, and Cabrera WTF is the heart supposed to do? If you pitch around the good part of the lineup, (which I no longer consider Matsui part of,) then you give up TOPS, a run. Combine that with Melky's free-swinging at the top of the order, and you're already working with an early out for the big hitters to work with, meaning those 4 guys can't even protect each other.

What about this is hard to conceptualize? If you have a lineup where half the guys (more if you, like me, count Matsui as a failure,) swing at terrible pitches, the few guys who can crush the ball aren't going to get anything to hit. This is pretty simple stuff. I can't understand why it seems to be so hard for Joe to figure out.

And we won't even get started on the carousel of arms coming out of the pen again in losing efforts.

Seems everytime the Yankees have an off day the offense disappears for a week. No excuse at all to lose two to Colorado like we did.

Son of a BITCH! Dump this piece of shit NOW!

F'n ridiculous. Cashman has brought in some of the most overrated talent in the history of this team.

While I still blame Joe for making stupid decisions, now I'm starting to gravitate more toward Don's stance that Cashman is the douchebag ruining this team.

Trade for frigging Texiera already, and get a decent bat in this lineup.

    F*** I'm pissed off now.
