    who cares what he does with his money as long as it not drugs or excessive alcohol... The same thing happened to Michael Jordan when he was making million dollar bets on the golf course!!! didnt he go to work and work hard to get his money if he blows it gambling thas his business. Yet they would rather see you investing in stocks on the stock market now thas a bigger gamble them what he does..

    I never really thought about it in that light.. Man if thats true then thats a shame for real. Could you explain to me why it is such a bad thing to gamble you own money and be a professional athlete. wheres the crime?? I mean i could see if your gambling on games or something and they might think you might throw the game like Pete Rose situation but this is Poker. I know people hang with there friends and make friendly wagers during games.

    Athlete's can end up oweing big money to bookies just like average Joe the weekend dodge ball player. Sports and gamblers have a codependency on each other. Sports needs gamblers to create interest that has nothing to do with the sport and gamblers need sports to be clean, nobody likes to bet against a rigged game.
