Police investigating Pacman Jones in Atlanta shooting By CHRISTIAN BOTTORFF Staff Writer Police in Atlanta are investigating suspended Tennessee Titan Pacman Jones in connection with an early morning shooting outside a DeKalb County strip club, according to WSB-TV in Atlanta. The shooting happened after a confrontation at 2:30 a.m. at Club Blaze in DeKalb County, WSB-TV reported. Witnesses told police that a man, who was a suspended from the NFL, got angry when a group of men approached a woman with him and asked her for a dance, the television station reported. The woman was not a dancer at the club, WSB-TV reported. A group of men told police they left the club and were driving away, but were followed by several armed men. Both groups apparently opened fire, leaving one SUV riddled with bullet holes, the station reported. Nobody was hit by the gunfire, but one person was scratched by flying debris, the television station reported. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Jones for one year on April 10 following a string of run-ins with law enforcement. In one of them, Las Vegas police have been investigating Jones' role in a Feb. 19 strip club melee that ended with a triple shooting. A bouncer was left paralyzed. Jones has not been charged with a crime in that case, although Las Vegas police have identified Jones as an "inciter" to the violence.
Why hasn't he been kicked out of the league entirely yet? Let's just say that he had nothing to do with this. Isn't it safe to assume even in this case that it is still his fault for gravitating towards these situations? I mean jeez stay the heck away from strip clubs it is that simple.
I could be ten feet away and these thugs could unload several clips and probably not even hit me. Aside from the fact that this guy has ruined his career, I find it very comical that these guys continue to carry around weapons they don't even know how to use.
once again, the idiot was by a strip club at like 4 AM and there was a shooting. yo pacman, how about not going to strip clubs in the middle of the night with a friggin' posse? Might help.
Pacman jones out of the NFL? Kick his ass out the league he is a joke to the NFL, he broke the rules that he was supposed to stay out of late night clubs. He had a piece on ESPN where they tried to portray him as not a bad guy, but he really cant do anything right
i dont have a problem with guys going to titty bars it's just when they start SHOOTING at other people that's where things go south. but this guy is starting to give titty bars a bad rep.
Not going to pass judgment on this after the nonsense about Chris Henry supposedly beating up some kid in Cincy, but it sounds like a Pac Man thing to do. Either way, he's a dolt.
Cincinnati Bengals running back Quincy Wilson was the latest ex-West Virginia Mountaineer asshole to be arrested. Recently, that program has produced a number of dipshits. I have to blame that on Rich Rodriguez. Don Nehlen didn't have these sorts of crazies on his team. Todd Sauerbrun is the only one that jumps out at me and his problems were steroids and making fun of the Gramatica brothers, which is not that bad in comparison to the antics of Henry, Jones, Wilson, etc.
Guy needs to stay out of the tittie bars. Not that I should talk but at least I'm not shooting people on my way out.
Not for nothing, but is there any clearer message than "Look Mr. Jones, you're going to lose a few million dollars this year, plus a full year of your career, for not knowing how to stay out of trouble. Please get your act together so we can re-admit you next year." I mean, how stupid can this guy really be? Fine, let's give him the benefit of the doubt, and assume he had nothing directly to do with this. They're still his boys. You've got to tell these guys "Look, don't go back. If you do, I'm going to take the heat, and then all the party money is gone." And if even that fails, then I'm sorry, sometimes the snitch has to deal with the stitch. F that. I'm not losing my career over douchebags who're only hanging on me for money. F Pacman. He needs to get the boot. He'll obviously never keep his nose clean.
And the second he does get the boot, all his boys are gone. Once Pacman cant make that money, they dont need him.
Somebody needs to spend some time with Pacman and lay it all on the line for him. He's literally on the verge of throwing away millions of dollars that he's already earned, because the Titans will sue him to get back the prorated bonus money he got off of his top 10 selection. He has nowhere else that he can expect to make more than the $14 an hour or so that construction workers get these days. The only thing that is going to save him right now, as near as I can tell, is if he discreetly gives just about every friend in the world that he has a golden handshake and goodbye and starts over on the social side of life. That means all the kids he's known since he was 4 years old and probably half of his male relatives. The thing that struck me about that story was that nowhere in it did it say that Pacman Jones was actually involved. It talked about his crew and a "player who was suspended from the NFL." He's going to have that kind of risk out there every day until he no longer has a crew to worry about. This is all starting very much to remind me of the Steve Howe situation in the late 80's. The guy had all the talent in the world and pitched for all the best teams and yet you could see his career winding down incident by incident like clockwork and you just knew he was never going to get clean.
This is the same guy that has said he'd quit playing in the NFL for his boys well now the NFL might kick him out permanantly because of his boys.
