Monday: Carlos Silva vs. John Maine
Tuesday: Johan Santana vs. Jorge Sosa
Wednesday: Scott Baker vs. Oliver Perez

We need to change it up a little. I figured I would give it a shot to change the Mets "luck".

I don't post often in Mets threads, but I just wanted to wish you guys an honest good luck, and a hopeful wish that you'll spank Minny. Every potential WC team you can beat for us, the better!

The Mets are 3-12 in June and in the 3 wins their opponents have scored a total of 1 run. Maybe they'll get 2 shutouts from a starter and actually win a series!

Yeah me too. I would have even probably watched that over the Yankees game.

I'm going to the game tomorrow so I can see Johan in action. Should be a good one.

Well our best 3 starters are in so maybe we will get lucky. I am starting to think that Glavine is very quickly becoming the next Zambrano/Trashel. And with all this talk about a potential Buerhle trade when the batting has been the problem, I fear that this will be another one of those trades that don't fix the real problem.

I think in the long run, the pitching is the biggest issue. The bats will come around eventually, there really isn't a spot for an offensive upgrade.

The pitching I'm not so sure about, Glavine and Duque are showing there age and both look to be finished. That leaves us with 3 guys that you could say are pitching above what is expected of them, can that last?

When we are going to put all our faith in the olds ones anyway then it doesn't matter who we bring in because one of our good arms is getting booted into the pen. And I always despise the idea of trading good prospects over a rental which is exactly what Buerhle is. And we need to figure out that Delgado's skills are declining right before our eyes and that we are seeing a lot more of the Jekyll than the Mr. Hyde each and every year. Alou is glass, I have no faith in Valentin. Lo Duca is getting old and we don't even know if Green can continue his good pace that he had early. I think our team is too dependent on Delgado being better than terrible and right now he as a black hole is killing our offense.

You won't win Sosa-Santana, but the other 2 you should win. Especially since I bet on Minnesota and I'm 0-6 betting on or against the Mets this season, so the Mets are a lock.

It would just be too fitting for us to break out of the slump vs. Johan...I'm betting against it though.

Well, at least if Maine and the relievers throw a shutout it won't be a tie.
