You know you're in trouble when 4 batters into the game your pitching coach comes out to speak to you.
I just want to congratulate you guys, it appears you have turned your season around and at just the right time. I'm hopin this series sparks us and we get back on track but we have guys just going through the motions right now.
I have to give it to Joe Torre. As much as I still dislike him, his calmness all along seems almost sage-like in 20/20 hindsight. He never worried, and never let the team worry, and suddenly, it's paid big dividends. I'm always quick to point the finger at him for lack of motivating the team, well, this time he deserves credit for keeping the ship steady through the storm so far. Now we really need to keep this up.
Well it's about time. I have been on his ass alot the past few years because of his decisions and lack of. WTF took him so long?
Everybody on TV keeps saying that we can't catch the Red Sox. Well,we just made up 6.5 games in less than 2 weeks. I'm not saying that I think we definetly will even though I think the Sox were out playing themselves. But to say we "can't"?
He came out of his coma and actually decided to get involved in the game for the first time in 7 years.
It took the red sox 45 games to get a 14 1/2 game lead. It's ridiculous for anybody to say that it can't be erased in 117...
im still watching the wildcard...should the division present itself a month from now itll be a bonus.
With a Sox loss tonight it could be 7.5 already. I wouldnt say its ridiculous to call this division out of reach for the yankees
