This guy is going to be alot like Reggie Bush...many people are calling him the white Reggie Bush. This guy is gonna be sick, no matter where he goes. http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=54392&sport=1 Ridiculous stats in the top high school level in Texas: 6'0 185 (The same as Reggie Bush) 3,121 Rushing Yards with 43 TDs 8.7 YPC 400 Receiving Yards 4.32 40 Time as Junior in High School - Reggie Bush ran a 4.4 as a junior. White running backs are back, and he will lead the way.
McGuffie's highlights are legit, no question, and I'm very excited to see him when he gets to the college level, but the next Reggie Bush already took his place at SC. Joe McKnight
McKnight is nasty, but I only see him as being a great college spell-back/return man behind those beast running backs that pete carroll always brings in.
That guy is no where near reggie bush's level he has no moves he is just a straight ahead runner once he gets to the second level he has the speed to burn you but jukes moves he does not posses
He's still going to dominate in college and hopefully contend for the Heisman...he has rediculous ability.
Any word on where hes going? And its a little premature to say hell contend for the hiesman. Like Terel Pryor (sp), hes gonna be a joke. One of the worst highly recruited QB's ive seen.
I think his top 5 are SoCal, Nebraska, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M...but that could all change. Just from watching his highlight film, I can already tell he is going to make some huge, exciting plays in college football. He is alot like Reggie Bush, except faster. 4.32 as a rising senior in high school. He's also just as big as Bush, when Bush was a junior at USC. If he stays healthy and goes to a team where he can get at least 15 to 20 touches a game, he will put up ridiculous numbers. As for Terrelle Pryor, he is a little over-hyped being the number 1 player in the nation, but that is because of all of the Vince Young comparisons. He is an awesome running quarterback...when he runs, it looks like everyone else is in slow motion. I think he will live up to most of the hype though. He's big, fast, and athletic. He should be a good COLLEGE quarterback, that can maybe develop into an NFL quarterback.
Good analysis. Id like to see him go to michigan. Him and Mallet would be sickk for at least three years. And if he did go there, and did well, he would be most likely be the [first] white tailback. Not to turn it into a race argument, but that would be something Id really like to see.
he has no moves!!!! reggie bush use to run circles around people sprint 50 yards lateral the sprint 50 yards the other direction then take it up the field for a touchdown if he wasnt flying threw the air for a touchdown.... the kid is fast but his skills and vision is just ordinary to me if you get to the open field and cut back on the last over pursing defender thats not moves thats suppose to happen...
Did you watch the video? He jumps over at least three different guys and clears them...also, he is a one-cut runner. He hits the hole so hard, that he usually just has the safety to beat, and he gets to the outside and burns him...but he can break tackles, and he makes a couple of spins and jukes in his video. His shuttle time is amazing, so I'm pretty sure that if he wanted to spin across the field and burn the entire team, he could. Watch this and then tell me he doesn't have moves that compare to Reggie Bush -- the cutbacks, the accelleration...this kid's got it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4IJ17ODo_s
Reggie Bush had probably the best high school video you're ever going to see, that kid is good, but it's not better than McKnight's, not better than a lot of other kids out there either. McGuffie can be good, but right now he's nothing special.
no im not doubt him at all he is a good running back but reggie bush whas phemoninal.. every time he touched the ball you were like dam whats he gonna do now. and not only did he do it in college he took his show to the nfl so you know he was just the best in college he is a contender in the nfl...
Just take a look at reggie bush's high school tape highlights McGuffie can't do this!!!!This is in tight Quarters where theres no room for mistake you got to have this vision.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISYAQeHYWyU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2dfYb54zq0&mode=related&search= Reggie makes you scratch you head like how did he do it.... And this is comparing them on a fair level both of them in high school!!!
This kid is a bit light and needs to hit the weight room hard. In addition leaving his feet all the time will get him killed in college. He looks like a good back, but without seeing his hands it looks like he could project great to the slot. In a spread offense though (A+M) he would flourish, much like Steve Slaton does at WVU. He reminds of Slaton in the way he hits the hole, his blinding speed, and his lack of true running skills.
