I am thinking about getting an X-Box 360 as a graduation present to myself with the the money I have gotten. I've got a few questions before I go out and buy one. I know there are two different kinds. There is one that is 300$ and one that is $400. What are the advantages of the $400 one and are they worth the extra $100? Is the system really worth this much money or am I better off spending the extra on a PS3 or getting none at all and sticking with my ps2? Thanks.

Alot of people are having problems with their 360s breaking. People I know either have no problems or are on their fourth one. I would go to place like Best Buy and pick up their warranty. If you just settle for the Xbox warranty and you have a problem, its just going to reoccur. With Best Buy you can return it and get a new one.

    Get the $400.

The 300 is just the system and wired controller. 400 dollar one includes a hard drive, which is worth 100 alone, wireless controller, headset for XBox Live, and an ethernet cord to connect to XBL.

I love my 360. I got it for Christmas. If you get it though, Live is a must. I can't imagine playing games like Gears of War without playing online.

Still like the system though but if this next console fucks up....think i'mma stickin wit my Wii

Bought my 360 last June, NO problems.

Great system, live is a must.

  7. i just bought one a few days ago on ebay.
got a used 360 premium package (the 20gig) and 2 wireless controllers for 290. shipped.

I traded in my ps2slim and my old xbox just so i could afford to get 360 and madden 07.
what ever you do, dont get the core system, spend the xtra money for the 20 gig hard drive, you'll end up spending more in the end and buy your xbox live account on ebay for half the price.

i jus hope it doesnt break down on me, cant wait to get it in the mail.
    Go Jets!!!

On my 2nd 360. Love the system, and the 1 year warranty came in handy for me. Thank god for that.

That's exactly what I did last August for the Madden release. I figured I was going to get 360 eventually anyway, so I figured I might as well get it for the new Madden.

It really is a great system IMO, I just wish I could afford more games.

Really can't wait for Halo 3, that is gonna be so sick

Halo 3 is pretty tight. My brother has the beta. But we also get to look foward to the Half-life Orange box (Team Fortress 2 looks way fun) the new Resident Evil, Bioshock, all kinds of good shit.

the 360 has great games now, so if you want to enjoy the system immediately that is the way to go. but I just traded in my PS2 for a PS3 because gamestop offered $100 off with the trade in, and I have to say I love the system and the games I have played on it. now, I don't know all the specifics behind the sytems, but it sure seems to me that the PS3 is the better choice technologically, and once it has the amount of games that the 360 has, it will be the better of the two systems. but at this moment, the 360 is probably the system to get.

i have a PS3 and i love it. It all depends, if u have an HDTV then u might think about the PS3 because it plays blu ray movies which u can just rent from netflix. Also, you will be able to play ur PS2 games on ur PS3. The 360 has better games right now so it all depends on that considering the PS3 has some good games coming out, such as lair, heavenly sword, GOWIII, and MGS4

Well My 360 just broke a few weeks ago. Been bringing it back to life by the towel trick kind of a pain in the ass but saves me$ 130 . Go with the PS3 less bugs going on with it. Thanks Xbox360 Your system is the Ugo of video game systems.

I opted not to try the beta, I'd rather wait for the whole thing than tease myself with two multiplayer maps.

I never got into Falf-Life. But I am looking forward to Bioshock, all indications are that it's gonna be a good one.

I just reserved The Darkness the other day, so I'm looking forward to getting that next week. I really want to get Rainbow Six: Vegas now too. I just wish I had read the review of it before reserving Darkness.

I am on my 3rd Xbox 360. I barely play it now due to fears of it breaking.

My warrenty is up on it so I dunno.

Good system besides the fact it always breaks on me.

Check out the Xbox360 Elite. I'm not sure when it's being released in the US. But it should reduce much of the overheating, which usually leads to the xbox breaking after 1-2 years
