I dunno, the O was terrible, as was Mota, but at least Maine looked back to form tonight except for those 2 pitches.
I guess no one is too excited about this afternoon's game. Still have Newhan playing left, but at least Wright is back in the lineup. Hernandez and Sosa both okay through 2 innings, and still no score.
 Im gonna start counting how many times one of us Mets fans says that during the course of the year. Mets win it 7-1, 5-8 hitters had 5 rbi's today.
Rather then just the overall stats for getting a runner in from 3rd with less then 2 outs I'd like to see what percentage of outs fail to get the runner in from 3rd. I know they had one sac fly today but 2 other times they struck out. Luckily the offense is good enough that they can pick each other up after this but it'd be even better if they could convert these "easy" scoring chances.
The Mets had scored 1 whole run in 35 innings with me in attendance until they scored 3 in the 4th inning today.
Callaspo reminds me of a joke I read in the comment section of WithLeather. Something along the lines of suggesting that Elijah Dukes' wife dress up like a breaking ball, because Dukes can't hit one of those.
Sigh. I am convinced that no Met pitcher will ever pitch a no-hitter. Meanwhile, Ollie is in real trouble here after being dominating for four innings.
Wow, Darling just completely owned Sheffield. "I've know Gary since he was 16. Sometimes, he still talks like he's 16."
