whatever this is getting a little much like a witch hunt now. i like the new direction godell is going but now its becoming absurd. he was with him, doesnt mean he did anything. how many people have been with a friend who did something stupid? would u like a newspaper article printed about it. whatever this is peanuts to me small time news, but something interesting to know. but it doesnt surprise me in the least being that theyre young and played together. thanks champ
I only know what the article said but since there was nothing on ESPN or Yahoo I would guess the team & not Goodell
Seems like Justin Miller gets into trouble when he is drinking. Miller should put down the booze and focus on becoming a good corner.
Witch hunt my ass. In an age where rich men can pay a settlement to get out of a charge they are guilty of, this is the league taking proactive measures to clean up the image of it's players.
stuckey got fined for being with a teammate that punhed a woman by accident..that's bull..and why would young, rich guys not go out and party????
Just a point, I don't ever remeber someone throwing a punch that was an accident. I'm not for the team fining Stuckey for being with Miller. If the team feels Miller isn't a fit team mate for other guys to be with they should cut Miller.
I doubt the fine was that substantial. IMHO it just looks like the Jets sending a message to the rookies to stay out of trouble.
I have no opinion of Stuckey being fined, but I doubt he was fined after standing in the corner whistling Dixie. And plenty of young, rich guys go out to party every night and don't end up with assault charges against women after being caught fleeing the scene like a spineless coward.
Given a rookie was with him when he threw the punch I'm shocked he has not been cut yet. I guess the club sees a 7th round pick as not that valuable. If it had been Revis with him Miller would have hit the street the next day is my guess.
Oh noes! What are we going to do if we don't have Stuckey??!! I thought he was a restaurant on I-95 in Maryland until this story broke.
