those of you who remember me, i was always the guy that rooted for milwaukee even though, we sucked year after year. I just wanted to hear what you all think of us now. sure, we've been in a slide for the past 14 games or so, but who wouldnt be playing all these playoff teams on the road...anyways, i hope to see y'all in the NLCS...i think its realistic
i remember. didnt you join the military? I like the Brewers because they have a character from one of my fav movies the Warriors pitching for them
yeah thats me, go navy,lol....i would come here more often, but i get caught up in shit, its good to be back on though
Brewers very well might be the best team in a horrible division. I don't think they are as good as there hot start but will probably be good enough to go wire to wire in that division..
Dude I love the Brewers! Been rooting for them since 2002, some tough times. Now its our turn to dominate.
Back on 4/1 when I made my picks, I had the Brewers losing to the Diamondbacks in the playoffs. I have the Mets beating the Dodgers in the NLDS and then going on to take the NLCS. Last year you may remember I took the Brewers as one of my overs (81 or 81.5 was their number). It didn't work out because Turnbow sucked and the team was hit with injuries. I didn't get tricked by what happened last year. They are clearly the best team in that division.
Last time the Brewers made the playoffs was 1982. What was memorable about that season? Horrible weather in April. Worst Aprils in MLB history? 1982 and 2007. Brewers World Series appearances? 1982 and 2007 perhaps? Hopefully not.
Brewers were playing great until they ran into the Mets last weekend. Then the Mets played "who's the boss"?
Good to hear from you, jfiw. Regarding the Brewers, at this point they seem to be an 85-90 win team, which could be good enough in that division, but probably not for the wild card. But hey, what do I know.
90 wins in the NL central would probably be a run away winner. Unless Houston has another great end of the season run where they start winning every game I don't think any other team in that division is going to finish over .500
Thank you Brewers, from a guy with Prince Fielder, JJ Hardy, Francisco Cordero, and Johnny Estrada on my fantasy team.
I think the intent behind the rule is to not have a team you just beat out for the division come back and take you out in a 5 game series. Personally for this year I can say pretty confidently that I'd rather the Mets play the NL Central winner then the WC, whoever it is.
Especially if that WC is Atlanta, they'll lose to the West Champ but for whatever reason we can't beat those bastards. I like our chnaces against everyteam in the NL except the Braves. Bobby Cox has fucked with our minds. BTW the Brewers are absolutely killing me right now, Bill Hall do you still play baseball?
They've got a real good ptiching staff with Sheets, Capuano, Suppan, Bush, and Vargas and then Gallardo most likely coming up soon. I don't know much about him other than that he's a big pitching prospect. They're solid at the back of the pen too with Turnbow and Cordero.
Turnbow was back to his old self today, blowing up as part of a 7 run 8th inning for the Braves. Brewers are going to be something like 7-15 against NL teams that aren't terrible.
