yep, Lou and his 7 Championships- oh wait he has ONE! back in 1990! In the weaker league and much weaker divsion Lou has his Cubs just game better than the Yanks right now a I haven't followed Chi closely but I don't think they've had the injuries that we have had. I love it, we win a few game and Joe gets no credit but then we lose a few and it's all on Joe. You guy's are hysterical.
I also think Lou Piniella is vastly overrated. That said, I think the Cubs are right where they should be.
My point is I think we'd be closeto where we ae no matter who the mnager was. Maybe it is time for Joe to go, I felt like it would have been ok after the Detroit series last year but he stayed and I don't think firing him now would do anything for us. Joe has proven he can lead us out of early season holes, we are in a much bigger one than usual but he has earned the right to try to lead us out again. if he doesn't get it done then make a move.
A guy who was hitting under .100 coming into the game has more RBI's than your team scored yesterday against a much better pitcher. Not taking a shot but that is just pathetic.
Pisses me off becuase I have both Wang and Moose on my fantasy team and your offense is killing these guys.
Fucking Procter !!! So much for a W for my fantasy team..... not that that's all that important for you Yankee fans
i doesn't get more obvious than today how torre makes the decisions that lose us games. George should call the dugout phone and fire him during the game
I have Rivera on my fantasy team, so far he has been the bust of the year, how does he have less than 6 save opportunities, I don't know how that is possible even the traditional terrible teams has done a lot better than that
Proctor got robbed on a strike 3 call, and got a little rattled after that. tough break for the Yankees. hopefully the offense can come around now. oh yeah, you see how nice it is having a center-fielder with an arm? If Damon was out there, it would be 1st and 3rd 2 outs.
You were saying? Another game you can rest at the feet of Torre... and I for one thought Torre always got too much credit for the championships... It was more of a testament to how good the team was... other than 96 when we came back from two games down were the Yankee's challenged in there championship seasons... we steamed rolled everyone... when the team is actually challenged and some on field decisions need to be made how have those series turned out?
