I remember Kyle Clifton as a very solid player. When the Jets drafted Marvin Jones, coach Bruce Coslet said that he wasn't an automatic starter because he 'wasn't going up against chopped liver'. I've always thought that was one of the strangest compliments I've ever heard.
Another under-rated LB for the Jets was Lance Mehl - who was very good but was overshadowed by LT. Nevermind just saw the other poll - man we are bored
Sorry, but this is a stupid poll.... Anyone old enough to see Kyle Clifton play would give a FAVORABLE opinion....the guy was a stud on some BAAAAADDDDD teams. We as fans could always count on Kyle Clifton to show up.
Kyle is a perfect example of how tacke stats can be misleading. he was a decent player but never close to great and e was alwasy in the high 100s in tackles. Classy guy, hard worker, but very limited athletically.
I voted favorable. He was a good player who manned the middle and called the D for a long time, a lot of it while we were a bad team. I wouldn't say he was a tremendous impact player, but given a choice of "favorable" and "unfavorable", I'd have to go with the former.
