Damn It !!! Where's The Damn .....NT ?

    Where's the damn NT ?

Get Sam "Damn I'm Mad" Adams in here. Or Mr. Junior Siavii - DT K.C. Chiefs.

Both over 340lbs. Then I will see hope for a solid defense this season. The final piece for a solid defense is the NT, for this team.

  2. Except just b/c a guy is over 340lbs doesnt mean he's a great fit at 3-4 NT. And D rob was the best player in our front 7 at NT, and the main problem w/ our run D was at RE where Kimo was consistently blown off the ball so teams ran off tackle...

C'mon...Cut the crap. Take off the bandages...

D-Rob, nice player, no DT is he. When he is double teamed, he is blown 4-5 yds downfield. He can't hold the point of attack. Not a personal slight, just a fact Jack !!!:breakdance:

ho hum....nothing surprising here...why dont we just sign every has-been in the free agent market while were at it

  5. Funny b/c I watched D rob very closely all year long, along w/ the DL after about week 8, D rob rarely got pushed back at all, including against double teams. Weeks 1-8,yes he was a liability..but week 8 on..he was our front 7's best player.

DRob may be a good NT in the 3-4 someday, but it will be a waste of talent. In the 3-4 he should be a DE. He's NT only by default. As a DE he could be a pro-bowler.

    Nah man, that's stupid.

They need to be able to do cartwheels as well, or else it's a waste of money.

You should read what the Chiefs boards say about Junior Siavii . He's a terrible player.

I say don't know b/c I actually think Sione Pouha could do a fine job in a rotation.

No we don't need one-- ideally, we could use an upgrade, but you can say that about every single player on the team. We don't have one player who is top 5 in the league at their position except for Miller as a return man. (Vilma would be top 5 in a 4-3) This team is obviously looking to be solid all over, rather than great in some areas, with some real liabilities in others. In order to have an upgrade over Dewayne, we are going to need to spend 7 million+ a year for a starter. Do you want some schmo depth guy? That's fine for a future plan, but it's not going to help us win any more games this year. Dewayne was good last season-- and in years before. It seems that the only people down on him are the guys on this board. Coaches seem to like him-- we should give him the same benefit of the doubt that so many give to vilma-- he's young, and inexperienced in the 3-4... and still played great IMO.

D Rob is a guy I think is great, but if we had a different guy to play NT who was bigger and could shore up two offensive lineman, then I think he'd be even greater as a DE.

didn't D-Rob have his best season ever last year? The stats prove it-- so why the constant bashing on a 4-yr player that now has just begun to show his dominance in a position he "isnt suited for"? This should be a good year for him at NT- lets watch and enjoy.

I couldnt agree more. D-Rob is going to be a solid NT, but he could be a pro bowl DE in the 3-4 defense. I've been calling for the move since day one, not sure why he's still at NT. I guess its lack of depth, or Mangini is seeing something we are not.

He had his best stetch of his career late last season, early in the season D-Rob was horrible. After our bye week it was like the guy could not be stopped. I'm looking forward to seeing improvement this season, lets hope for the best.
