thats a bit drastic. because something transpires and it ends up in a fight isnt "thuggish"...and yes, hitting another man is way more acceptable. if he had intended to hit this woman thats a completely different scope. he will no doubt be dealt with, but cutting him wont be the answer either...granted weve got a bit more protection at CB with our boy reivis, but cutting miller for this is way too drastic.

id like to know what the hell that chase deal is about though. trying to evade law enforcement is a bit much....def need to hear more before you can make a case either way imo.

Miller isn't good enough to be protected by his talent.

Let the legal process run its course. Then, if it's clear Miller did this, cut him.

Unless he starts having a pro bowl caliber season. Then don't. I really don't care, I root for the team not the individual.

I am glad there aren't any overreactions to this

It makes a difference to me that he wasn't swinging at a women on purpose. I have been in my fair share of bar fights, when alcohol and tempers copmbine, chaos can erupt. I dont think it says much, if anything about my chararcter, we all make mistakes. I think NFL fans are way to quick to list players as "thugs". As far as his NFL career is considerd, this is Justin's initial strike, and hopefully his last.......

He's 23 yrs. old. When I was that age I was doing dumber shit than that. Cut the kid a break. He needs to learn from this. The only way we cut him is if this becomes a common occurance. What ever happened to 2nd chances? Why do people hold pro athletes to a higher standard? They're people like me and you. I fcuked up alot when I was younger. Learn from your mistakes and move on.

And they both went to WVU. Coach Rod recruits good talent but is the anti-Mangini when it comes to character.

Nuh-uh. They get held to higher standards because they are in the public eye and they are role models for children, quite simply.

Put it this way, if you were in a job where a number of your colleagues had been suspended for a significant period on account of being arrested and you knew your employer was looking to stamp out police involvement, would you even put yourself in a position where you could be arrested?

There is no need for professional sportspeople to be out in clubs whatsoever. Sure, they're young, they want to have fun, but for god's sake THINK before going out and doing something ridiculous. There's plenty of ways to have fun that don't involve getting wasted and fighting with people.

These kids are either dedicated to their profession, or they're not - nobody's asking them to be saints, just don't be stupid.

you act as if he put time and thought into "how can i screw up???"...seriously...shit happens sometimes. our society is way too quick to judge on headlines and soundbites.

how can you say there isnt a need for anyone to go out and have a good time? because this guy has the ability to play NFL football he should be a reclusive guy who never does anything but football? thats ridiculous....and the notion that he should be on guard 24 hours a day isnt realistic.

sure hes a role model, and should try and act accordingly...but real life isnt perfect, shit happens, and you deal the best you can. to be yelling for him to be cut is just idiotic. this isnt like he got in a gunfight or anything...and nobody seems to know the particulars yet. instead of being the first to throw a stone, how about you find out what the facts are....

2 so far...that the previous commissioner did nothing about. he is setting a new standard for players to abide by (with the players help mind you). he has set things in place, and in motion that will end up being very detrimental to careers if people dont watch their step. its not just about 2 guys being suspended, but his actions as a whole.

I did not miss the warpath. FELONIES. He's been suspending people for FELONIES. This is a 3rd degree MISDAMEANOR! I'm not minimizing what he did, but it's not on the same level.

Pacman's problems are FAR GREATER than what Miller did.. they aren't even in the same league!

The way I heard it, the guy Miller was going to hit took two hard steps to the left, and Miller bit.......causing him to swing wildly.

So let me ask you, a guy who apparently has gotten in a few brawls. If a guy was bugging you at a bar and you took a wild swing and hit a women, cut her, knocked her down and maybe even gave her a concussion? would you run to aviod the cops or help her?
