We'll just see about that one then. I'll go based on what I know, and you can go on what you scavenged the net to try and find. Too bad you'll be in the wind by the time we get to the actual season, because when Keller lights it up for the Huskers with maybe the best receiving tandem in the Big 12, everyone will have forgotten this. Cmon, you seriously think Joey Ganz has a chance to beat out Keller? Are you joking or just a Husker hater?
no I think 100% Keller will win the job, Joey Ganz is a piece of shit and if he is starting for Big Red they will be lucky to win 4 games IMO. but somebody asked about a possible position battle he is in and since you weren't aware of it I just shared some info. I didn't "scavenge" the net looking for info, I am a HUGE college football fan and knew exactly what the guy was talking about. If you like college ball and never heard of collegefootballnews.com you should check it out. Sorry if my posts came off in a dickish way that wasn't my intent and when I reread them I could see it being taken in a shitty tone.
Read about Oher in the blindside. This guys story is incredible. Less importantly from the description in the novel this guy is going to be a monster just plain and simple. I'm not well versed on the other line men, but in HS he compared favorably to Pace and Ogden...
It's ok, I might have taken it a bit to hard there at the start. No, I wasn't aware that anyone thought that Ganz had an actual chance at the starting job, all I knew was that Keller being the way he is might turn some people at UN off with his attitude. I have to imagine that much of the speculation into him not having the job would be based on that, and I know there was some kind of incident with him recently that was dropped. As far as talent though, I do stand by what I said, and I think he's got the ability to be the best Quarterback in next year's draft. Am I overrating what he did in Koetter's offense? Maybe, but we'll what he does next year with all those weapons he has in Lincoln. I do see that you're a big CFB fan though from your posts and, even though we got off on the wrong foot, we don't have all that many here, and I hope you stick around.
What are your thoughts on Patrick Turner out of USC? He was considered by many to be the #1 recruit coming out of Highschool and this year he should be the go to guy with Smith and Jarret gone. Considering he has a very good QB in Booty and fits the USC style recieve perfectly how well do you think he will perform?
I remember Turner's recruitment, and was really disappointed when he chose SC over UM. He and Vidal Hazelton are both bigger receivers, Vidal probably has more speed but Turner's more experienced and more physical. I think that Patrick could actually catch ten touchdown passes with Jarrett, Smith, and McFoy all gone; he's that good, and I think that offense will be terrific.
