Matsui and Abreu are past their prime buddy, you were better off with your first post.

Bobby Abreu isn't past his prime? Look at his numbers. They haven't been the same since mid-2005. And besides, if Abreu isn't past his prime, then he just sucks.

Past their prime but they still are good. Delgado and Glavine are past their prime, doesnt mean they suck. You can be past your prime and not suck

Glavine is a first ballot Hall of Famer. Abreu is not.

What does that have to do with his current ability? Clemens is a first ballot hall of famer but all I hear Mets fans say is that he's washed up trash

Glavine is 4 years younger. Try again.

Considering that 15 homeruns in an entire season was the worst total of his career, including his rookie season, yes.

Things are relative. If Melky Cabrera were to put up that same exact season, it would be fantastic. But Bobby Abreu is earning 15.6 million. He obviously isn't going to be held to the same standard.

Last season, Bobby Abreu earned over a million per homerun, hitting in the middle of two of the better lineups in baseball (and with two MVPs, Ryan Howard and A-Rod, protecting him). That's pretty "sucky."

Mets = 3rd team in a two team town.

That doesn't even make sense. And it shows an astounding lack of baseball knowledge pre-1996.

Lucky in the respect that they didn't hit a rough patch or have some other team catch fire. The Braves had the best record in the NL 5 out of 7 years and won 0 WS and 1 NL Pennant. You think that these teams that routinely dominated the league over hundreds of games was just full of "chokers" that turned into garbage in the postseason?

Man, does not take Yankee fans long to get riled up. They always bite at just a little bit of bait. Its funny as hell.
