Four game series, off to a horrible start. 4-0 Cubs in the top of the second against Glavine, and Easley has made a couple of poor plays to cost some runs.
I missed the first few plays the announcers are talking about but the Marquis hit wasn't Easley's fault, and that last pop up should've been in Green's back pocket.
Easley should have gone to the ground to knock down the ball if the infield is in. The second ball was totally his fault - Green was calling him off and he ignored him to try to make a much tougher play. Beltran made a bad play in the first that cost a run as well.
Easley dropped the ball(maybe because he saw Green diving towards him) but he was in the better position to make the play. There's no way that should've been the case.
I know. I still want to see him get a chance to play with the big club when he comes back. He was killing the ball all spring, and his defense is 100x better then Green. I realize Green is a veteran who's been hitting really well, but he's not the future of this team.
