You know what Shade? Piss off.

Most of your comments simply annoy me. This one flat out pisses me off.

Who the hell do you think you are? Yankees fans are FRONTRUNNERS?

Do you assclown Mets fans even realize how much us true Yankees fans despise the 96ers?

Guys like me grew up Yankees fans. My father used to point out where he was sitting when he heard on the radio that Babe Ruth died every time we were on the way to my grandmother's house. From the day I was born I was a Yankees fan.

I suffered through the dismal 80s when names like Claudell Washington, Rickey Henderson, Mike Pagliarulo, Dave Winfield, Don Mattingly et al were the big attraction.

My father drove a truck for a living. We were lower-middle-class. Yet I always saw Yankees games in the box seats. How? Simple. We'd buy the "Bob Eucher" seats, and sneak down. Back then, there was room anywhere you wanted to sit. We hate the 96ers, with their pink F'n Polo shirts taking up all the room.

I am a Yankees fan, and I am a baseball fan. Always was as a kid, and only stopped when the strike happened and they skipped the World Series. Even the first couple Yankees titles couldn't bring me back. Finally, my son fell in love with playing the game, and I remembered how much I loved playing as a kid. So I came back.

Your comment wasn't even trollish, it was flat out offensive.

Struck a nerve with that one, eh?

I never gave up baseball after the strike, I was there opening day 1995.

Save your true Yankee fan soliloquy for someone who cares.

I have never seen anyone so obsessed with a team they DON'T like. Tell me, did you foolishly bet AGAINST the Yankees in 2000 and lose your shirt? Is that what this is all about?

I am a Jet fan, I don't get into the whole off season stuff. It doesn't interest me at all.

After the SB its baseball time with a little hockey if the Rangers don't suck.

For the record I am voting for Rudy, even with his Yankee BS baggage.

You are garbage. I don't know if you actually contribute in Mets threads, since I don't normally bother with teams I don't care for, but the fact is, you bring absolutely nothing to the table on this site.

So as for your being there Opening Day, all that makes you to me is NOT a baseball fan. They played the World Series during wars where some of the best players in the history of the game were on the other side of the world. Yet contractual disputes halted the World Series for the first time.

Save your shit posts for someone who cares.

Can't believe all the personal attacks in this thread... wow.

Anyway this article really get's to the point on the final two pages, anybody who thinks this is just about Rudy and not the Yankees needs to reread those parts. Amazing that all of this went on unchecked... I don't have much of a problem with the rings but if it broke the rules it broke the rules and he should be punished.

I don't blame him... who gives a shit about a smaller sport like hockey if a team isn't good? Baseball's different.

when i come to this site is to read about the jets and to read what the GG posters have to say like shade and abyzmul, badgeronlsd because the posts make me laugh and i know im not the only one who feels this way, alot of people work hard at their jobs and need some good info and a taste of entertainment. if anyone disagrees then im sorry but if your a member in GG for a while you cannot be a troll im sorry, if one joins a site and contributes in any capacity while the season is on or not and posts in the BS forum, meaning have a good amount of posts they should have perks, versus other people who join just to read links and laugh at what we type and dont post a thing.... so people recognize who are your brothers and stop hating, i enjoyed many a post by shade... he is one of the reasons i come here to read anything that is not just jets.
