Maine running into some trouble here.

 

Maine comes back strong to get the popup and K to get out of the inning.

 

Maine out after 6 tough innings, yet he only gives up 1 run on 6 hits with 7 Ks. He is so much better a pitcher now than he was last year.

 

Reyes should single in Green, but he's too slow to score.

 

Burgos gets through the 7th with the help of a GIDP.

 

Uh oh - tough play there. Endy knocks the ball back but can't make the catch and they're calling it a HR. Much worse, he seems to have hurt his ankle.

 

The ball hit a kid's popcorn to make it a HR? You've got to be kidding.

 

Endy seems to be okay.

 

Burgos maybe with a tough break, but still doesn't do the job.

 

i'm not sure what the hell gary and ron are talking about the popcorn for, there's no way an ump could've seen that, and endy clearly had the ball in his glove and brought it back on the field.

burgos is still terrible btw.

 

Franco steals second? He has a HR and a SB in the same game at the age of 48. Pretty amazing.

 

Well, Wags comes in for the save opportunity now.

 

game ends on a questionable DP, 12 in a row for the mets in arizona

 

Franco with the very nice play at first to save Easley an error on the DP, as the Mets win their 12th straight in Phoenix.

 

As you must have seen on the replay, it was actually clearly a DP.

 

He was standing pretty awkwardly on the bag, and I think a kernel of popcorn may have pulled him off the base.

 

There's no way that home run was a home run. And I like Burgos.
