Bears | A. Brown to be shopped Sun, 29 Apr 2007 15:20:04 -0700 Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears will likely look to trade DE Alex Brown, after drafting DE Dan Bazuin with their second-round pick. Hes a good player and i don't think it would take that much to get him, what do you guys think
Jets fans hate giving up draft picks, at least that's the reaction I witnessed this weekend by a lot of posters.
that would be an awesome pick up, even though I am a little concerned that we have eight DE's right now. however, imagine this front three first string - Alex Brown / Dewayne Robertson / Shaun Ellis second string - Kenyon Coleman / Sione Pouha / David Bowens thats pretty impressive
LOL, you should have heard the Jets fans at Radio City. When they announced that the Jets gave up a 6th round pick to the Panthers, people started groaning haha. I was rolling
I read that you guys were chanting for Quinn too, which was a surprise to hear. When we traded up, though, that eruption was classic, and I will always remember how loud you guys were that it literally shook Mortenson from his chair.
I hope the bears would settle with Jmac for Brown .. i mean they were dumb enough to give us Jones and another 2nder .. so it can still happen
I wasn't sitting in a section with Jets fans (I was sitting near JaMarcus's and CJ's families), but I heard a few (very few actually) Quinn chants. The place went nuts when the Jets traded up. It was my first time at the draft and will be my last draft- it is DRAINING but something I needed to do at least once in my life.
You were at a record long first round, so it must have been like a marathon. At least you witnessed a Jets trade up and an unpredictable first round, albeit not the most talented (on the surface)
He's way too small to play DE in a 3-4. 6'3" 260lbs. Is he fast enough (4.7 or less speed) to play OLB?
are you asking us to pick up our 5th DE of this offseason? seriously these threads are out of control
Alex Brown would be an OLB for us, not DE. But getting him for JMac would be a steal for us. Alex Brown is a pretty decent player.
Alex Brown would be a hell of a player at OLB in a 3-4. Great passrushing talent, ever since his Gator days.
Alex Brown? Any opinions on this guy? 7 sacks last year for the Bears. Just a thought. http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/CHI/10184941
There have been a couple of threads on him already if you feel like doing a search. My opinion is he is way too small to play DE in the 3-4 so you would have to bring him in as an OLB. The Bears don't want to get rid of him so you would have to pay them a pretty penny to get it done. Probably not worth it, but who knows. Supposedly a really good clubhouse guy (Mangini sort) so I'm sure they'll at least explore the idea....
Already discussed at length. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=21121&highlight=alex+brown
