Well that is just moronic statement. I addressed this before, but since you seem unwilling or unable to read the whole discussion through, I will post it again for you: "Of course there are exceptions. Of course there have been great 6th rounders, 7th rounders, and UDFAs. But that is not the rule. The great majority of the players drafted at this point are not much more than tackling dumbies. Most don't make the team, a lot go on the practice squad but don't stay very long. Hell there are 4th and 5th rounders in this league that go onto practice squads. Seems a little silly to get so excited about a 7th rounder this early. Perspective can be a wonderful wonderful thing." I love how people pull out the exception to the rule to prove their point.
FoxSports gives Stuckey no love... After reading the initial reports, I thought we got a steal. However.. Fox lists him as poor pick claiming he is injury prone and not nfl material.... I guess we'll just have to see.
It's hard to criticize a late 7th round pick used on a guy w/ obvious upside. If he doesnt work out, we have another developmental guy already in our system in Wallace Wright.
They also hate the Ahmad Bradshaw, DeShawn Wynn, and Clark Harris picks. All 3 could have been drafted higher.
Yeah so sorry that us actual Jets fans are actually hoping this kid can pan out well and do well. Might as well shoot us silly for supporting the kid.
There were faster guys available when we picked him and we also needed a Guard and didn't take one....
The guy is football fast/quick - it's all about work ethic, picking up the system, good hands and having balls. IF he stays healthy he looks like he can fill the Tim Dwight role. Bender is capable of playing all positions on the line except center. In actual fact, he may be more ready to play guard since he came from a run oriented team.
this is a great value pick. Stuckey is a pretty darn good receiver and is fast. He was supposed to go in the 3rd. Love this pick.
Enough with the "actual Jets fan" garbage. I have been posting here for quite a long time, and many people know I am a Jets fan and a huge supporter of new regime. This is just a copout remark that doesn't require any thought. You read one of my posts that you don't agree with and I am not a Jets fan? Are we on an elementary school playground here? Of course I hope he does well. But past history of the NFL tells us that more likely than not, he won't. The numbers are not on the side of 7th rounders, or UDFAs. But he is a Jet, I will support him for however long he is here. But some people act like it is the steal of the draft. I saw the same exact threads and posts made about Titus Adams last year, and where is he now? You can talk about the guy without declaring him a "steal" and "great pickup" like some people are doing. You know, it's called having a little perspective.
Well we need help at both postions on the right so if Bender can get in there at RT or RG then I'm happy....I really think this O-line should absolutely be a top priority...and I sort of wish we had focused more on it this offseason.
