Which is why the Pats are so busy. They are trying to stay ahead of SD and Baltimore and catch the Colts. We are not even on their radar yet.
So then it will be 43 years and counting..unless of course NE continues to widen the gap each year. Do I hear 50?
They jumped over SD the moment Norv Turner was hired as the head coach. Norv Turner vs Bill Belichick is as big a mismatch as Devil Rays vs Yankees. Oh wait, that doesn't work anymore. Devil Rays vs Red Sox.
I'm not worried about them at all. They will have to come through our house (the razor) this year. The Patriots came one first down or one stop from beating them in their house with a group of banged up receivers, half the team with the flu, and all that after a short week coming back from beating the Chargers in SD, and Rodney Harrison not playing. The Colts do not scare me at all as I feel the Patriots were a better theam than they were last year....and again... we've re-loaded. Just to drive this point home. I would feel more comfortable playing the Colts than I would playing the Jets. They are not a physical team...they're a finesse team.
Than you don't have a clue. The Pats are no longer in Mannings head. The Pats lost that game because BB panicked. The roles are now reversed, Manning is now in the Pats heads.
You can't use that as a justification because then you could say the Jets came within 1 missed assignment of beating the Pats in both regular season games last year and then we would have won the division and who knows what would have happened in the playoffs playing in NY.
 The Patriots don't let anyone get in their heads. They are the Patriots. Let the Jets worry about that head stuff. Manning is one and done. pay close attention this year.
Obviously, NE has done more then Indy in the offseason. In fact Indy lost both starting corners. Don't assume that won't mean Manning will just throw 50 TDs this year to make up for it.
That?s ridiculous. I was using that logic to counter a post stating the Colts have made themselves a better team this year. My argument is I didn?t (and don?t) feel like they were better than the Patriots last year. I will however give them credit for winning but they don?t scare me.
Kurt, you need to chill. I don't think you guys had a good draft either, but your team is still good. The Pats have been building their team for over 7 years. Mangina has had 14 months. It takes time. With the sole exceptions of Brady, Seymour and Light, our first 2 drafts under Bill SUCKED. Be patient.
I don't even think they're winning the division with that awful head coach. I'm going with Denver. Denver will be in the NE heads again.
I've got Denver in the west also at this point, although not with enough wins to play at Milehigh in January.
Please tell me what the fuck the Jets could have done in this draft to close the gap on the Patriots. Moss was only going to NE, he clearly said that. What the Pats do is out of our control. Again, what the fuck would you have don in this draft? Taken Brady Quinn at 14? Fuck off.
