How did this come about for you, walk us through the process? ?I actually had been hearing it through from friends, close friends, and also the media, that Oakland was trying to shop me around. I think Green Bay came up, New England came up, and maybe Tampa Bay and Jacksonville. I don?t know who else. Basically, that?s how things came about. Just really, last night, me and Coach Belichick talked for the first time about what?s been going on. He asked me about how excited I am if the opportunity presented itself for me to become a Patriot. Really, I was overwhelmed, because I didn?t expect to hear from Coach Belichick. Once we talked and things worked themselves out, I was very overwhelmed. I?m still in shock at the same time. I can?t believe I?m a Patriot.? We hear you were willing to renegotiate your deal to come here, but perhaps not for other teams. Why? ?Because, like I said, they have a massive reputation of what they stand for, and that?s winning. Through the course of my career, or the course of my life playing sports, I?ve always tried to be a winner and going out there and competing. Me having the chance to play with an organization, with a coaching staff, with Mr. Kraft as the owner, and the players they have in position, I didn?t think money was a big factor for me. I think over the course of my career, I?ve made a lot of money. I still have money in the bank. BY me coming to an organization such as the New England Patriots, why would money be a factor? I know I have to get paid something. I knew something had to be done with my contract and I didn?t have a problem.?

i knew this morning when the news broke about Moss we would be swarmed with Pats Trolls. I really, really wish this could be put in the NFL forum now. It's been discussed to death and we still have a pick left. Just my opinion.
I don't hate Jeter. He's like the embodiment of what made them win the championships. Talent through development, not buying every flashy name from around the league. The Pats got Brady in the sixth round and it's what makes him such a cool story compared with Manning. But when they Pats so haphazardly abandon the philosophy that got them where they were, I have to wonder if the result will be a championship. Time will tell, but it certainly fells like a GPC day to me.

All he has done is talk about Moss ... he hasn't said anything negative against the Jets. He hasn't attempted to start an argument & he hasn't attacked anyone on the board. Don't see the issue. Hell there are Jets fans here talking up the Moss to NE trade more than he is.
Cuz they banned him for trolling? He spent a lot of the morning over there telling them all that Randy Moss was a terrible pickup who would kill the Patriot Way (tm) and after they banned him he came over here to troll us. What's the answer? *wink*

I hate the pats, even more every minute, and I really hope all these signings they have made backfire.
so much for the concept of team chemistry...turning into the Yankees of football...only difference is that the players are taking paycuts to play for the Pats...there are going to be too many egos to go around in NE...i think this signing backfires
