so will he play G? battle it out with Moore in camp?

and when's our next pick. maybe we can get Thomas there, or even Baker. but i'm really leaning towards Thomas; if he pans out, we'll actually have a chance to dominate the line of scrimmage, along with having a solid secondary. it's been awhile since we've had both of them at the same time.

    cheers

    From SI:

Jacob Bender/OT/Nicholls State: One of the best kept secrets in the nation, the 6-foot-6-inch Bender moves like a basketball player on the football field. And though he's athletic, Bender has the ability to displace opponents on the field. Possessing a lot of upside, he has visited eight teams. Don't be surprised if he comes off the board in the early part of the draft's second day.

Patrick is a tight end that ran a 4.8 40. That's just not going to cut it. Bender seems like a solid pick. Given some coaching could become a solid player at guard or tackle.

What a depressing draft.. The guys we got were solid, but I dont think things were played very smart. You think they planned to pick up additional picks from players, and it backfired? Only theory I can possibly come up with.

I think they fixated on cornerback as a must have position in the first round and then they got really loose with the fundamentals to make that happen.

    Will it work? We'll see.

    Good pick. Sounds solid.

O-Line depth at a minimum, possible starting RT down the line.

Well, another potential possibility is that they valued the two players they got on Day 1 more than other potential options in 3, 4, and 5. And it would make sense, since it sounds like they got a great prospect in round 6. Failure is not the only viable theory.

If we can land Walter Thomas now, and are active in UDFA, this will end up being a very nice draft.

All the info you need is right here. You guys did a great job posting scouting reports, links, etc. Thanks!

Bender looks like a solid backup with upside.

Really can't ask for much more than a guy with this much upside in the 6th round.

When A Jets player gets respected by Mel Kiper Jr, you know the player is damn good.
