This is the scouting report on Quintin Echols, 6-1 322 lbs

    Strengths:
Has excellent bulk and mass...Very strong and powerful...Does a real nice job of shedding blocks...Is able to take on multiple blockers...Instinctive and aware...He plays with good leverage...Moves well for a big man...May still have some upside.

    Weaknesses:
Shorter than you would prefer...Is not much of a pass rusher and does not get a lot of penetration...Stamina and conditioning are major concerns...His work ethic is questionable...Was not overly productive...Only a situational guy in the pros?

    Notes:
Could be a 3-4 nose tackle or a run stuffing specialist in a 4-3...An intriguing guy due to his size and triangle numbers...Does he have those intangibles needed to maximize that potential?...A developmental prospect who could possibly surprise.

I think Jacksonville could use McCareins as a WR....and since they have 2 picks back to back why not deal?

Lorenzo Neal knocked out his teammate Mario Bates in a bar in 1994 and Neal has gone on to be a solid citizen and teammate, so you never know.

Jacksonville has a crop of talented young receivers (Reggie Williams, Ernest Wilford, and Matt Jones). I don't think they would be a primary suitor for McCareins.

One thing is clear from Mangini's interview. We will be major players for any undrafted FAs..

I was flipping around and missed what he said. I just got to see his penguinness getting thanked for the interview. Just out of curiosity . . . Is Troy Smith still undrafted?

Sweet did not know Tim Duckworth was still on the board. Another guy I would like at round 6 if he does fall.

I caught that too. He said to the kids not getting picked that they still have a chance to try out. He'll be calling.

He didn't give up much thou. basically pleased with his picks.

Don't get too excited. We don't pick for thirty-three selections.

Wow, I'm really liking the TE the Giants just picked.

    Kevin Boss
    Height: 6-6
    Weight: 257

    OVERVIEW:
While the average college football fan might not recognize his name, pro scouts are well aware of Boss' pass-catching ability. He is a huge target for the short-area passing game and has proven to be one of the most sure-handed receivers at his position eligible in this year's draft. Many experts say that his clutch receiving skills remind them of former Oakland Raiders standout Dave Casper.

One of the Giants biggest problems has been awful red zone passing. A 6'6'' tight end with great hands and a nose for getting open is exactly how you fix that. Between Jacobs, Droughns, and Boss...this weakness could be a strength now.
