1) you cant have enough corners and with dyson leaving the game every other second with a minor injury, barrett can prove to be a valuable backup... 2) barrett, poteat, miller, dyson, revis, 3 guys whove proven they can step on the field and play and 1 who has the potential to be elite... too many corners is a problem i would love to have on my team. 3)hes got a nose for the ball. Barret's not spectacular but he gets interceptions. When the ball hits him in the chest he usually catches it. Also, he has a knack for getting picks against the pats in crucial games and in the playoffs.. 4)finally, hes proven that he excels against the bigger recievers of the league. Guys like lee evans give him troubles but he was very solid against andre johnson, and plax burress. With the recent pats acquisition, he just might be our best matchup.. Hes also solid in run defense... I kno barrets not great, hes also overpaid. But the dudes been alright since hes been here and the patriots are hellbent on building an elite unite at wr so barret is worth holding on to for at least another option to counter the pats
maybe im wrong but wouldnt barrett be back against moss if he cant handle lee evans. isnt moss hella fasT?
yea but so is andre johnson, the bigger guys take longer to get in there strides, lee evans is fast but also unbelievably quick, the double moves are what will get ya.. I think most people can atest to what im saying. Barret plays 15 yards off the line to make up for his lack of speed but hes and overall above average corner
Justin Miller will negate Moss. Laugh Now but I am Confident on this one. Barrett Is a Starter who will play Nickle and Backup. IMO He is still one of our best DB's.
ROFLMAO. Picturing Randy Moss negated by spasms of laughter as he watches Justin Miller bounce around him like a spastic puppy never getting within 5 feet of the ball and missing tackles all over the place.
Have you seen Miller, I mean rewatched games and actually watched Miller? I don't think so because if you had you wouldn't doubt him so much. The problem with Miller haters is that they catigorized him after his rookie season and bad mouthed him so much that they can't say anything good about him because they think they'll look stupid. In reality, when guys consistently post nonsense about players based on a game or 2 is when they actually look ignorant. To all the Miller haters, Rewatch Last season and stop hating because you look foolish trying to make him seem sooooo bad. Nothing personal , I'm just tired of seeing all the negative posts about Miller
With the Patsies getting Moss we really need Barrett who is a veteran CB. It's going to be tough covering Moss, Stallworth, Welker, Washington etc. without Barrett. He provides us with another veteran CB.
who said Barrett would be covering Moss? We need a veteran CB to cover one of those WR's the Pats have.
I want Barrett to, he is really really physical and has a bit of a nose for the ball, he is the grinder cover guy that can match up with big physical defenders, Dyson is our all around guy, Miller is the wheels, Coleman and Poteat are average defenders that do not excel anywhere but fill a need, and now Revis will be our Bailey (hopefully)
I actually want to see Drew Coleman in his second year. I think he got a little overwhelmed as a starter but he showed flashes. How anyone can be labeled as average after 1 year in the league is beyond me.
Justin Miller will negate Moss. Laugh Now but I am Confident on this one. you must have seen the game miller played against steve smith, smith is not moss, moss can jump higher than smith and has longer arms that enable him to get the ball before the defender can put his hands up. same time frame, smith and moss, ball is coming down moss will have the ball in his hands atleast a full half a second before smith would.
