no doubt....they werent far off from being in the SB last season...theyve taken 3 steps forward. the colts arent as good as they were last year...they lost quite a few guys through FA...its gonna hurt them. they might still be eye-popping on offense, but their defense (which was always suspect) will be a grade lower than last years...

i hate to say this....but barring some major injuries, NE looks like they have the clearest path to the AFC title....on paper is still on paper, but jesus christ! on paper they look insane!

maybe Kiffin and Davis knew something about Moss that we all dont know, and are chuckling under their breath....a 4th rounder seems way too little for the old Randy Moss that we all remember

So the pats aren't signing Moss and Thomas to try and win the superbowl, they're signing top players to try and stick it to the jets?Awesome.

It won't take a year or two to close the gap with New England. It's a long long process. Personally, I could see us taking a step or two back this year.. but as long as we build thru a draft, make smart signings, bring guys with their best years forward we can do it. But Rome wasn't built in a day, and the Jets rebuilding process probably won't take that long either.

Are the Pats the odds on favorites ... probably. But I am not gonna sit here & worry about what the Pats do.

The Jets added two very nice pieces to their defense through the Draft. The vets on the defense who all started playing better once they got used to the defense will play that much better this year. I am confident the Jets will be able to compete with anyone. Call me or my view what you will ... but all I wanted to see last year was improvement. I will be looking for more of the same this year. It has nothing to do with the Pats.

I don't think he will. The majority of their team is 3 time SB winners. If he steps out of line once they will beat his ass and then Belichick will cut him. Nothing will be tolerated that would jeopardize their goal.

He's never going to the be the old Randy Moss again. He's lost his great speed. He's not going to get that back.

I don't think its like that at all. Belli wants the Colts. He probably cares two shits about the Jets right now. Jets have to beat them in a big spot to get their attention. Pats has put the whole league on notice.

He wanted out of Oakland and forced the team to trade him to the Patriots as they were the only team he would restructure his deal for.

He passsed his physical yesterday in Foxboro. He also ran a 4.29 40 for the Patriots brain trust last week in Florida.

I believe I read that Randy Moss fired off a 4.29 40 rather recently.

Yep, the poster above me beat me to it.

I don't think this is a Kelley Washington thing. I think this may have to do with Donte Stallworth. I think he's in trouble with the league..and the Pats are taking a very expensive preemptive strike.

Where did you get that information?

    I don't think that's true.

He's had a couple of groin issues..but I think he's still fast and can still jump.

He was slow in Oakland because he jogged. Bet your ass he'll be running now.

We had an advantage for having Moss that even the Patriots don't have. His friendship with Pennington. There was probably even less of a chance of him causing problems here then in NE and I don't think there is any chance of that either.
