Winning changes EVERYTHING, thats why Corey Dillon instantly turned into a team player. All that whining and bitching is gone now that he's playing with a perennial contender.

I bet the Pats wouldn't have made that trade if we didn't draft Revis.

It's kind of like a long chess match against Mangini and Belichick...

It's Mangini's time to counter that move.

We are in deep doo-doo. Several people would post, Don't worry about what n.e is doing. It doesn't matter. Well, can we worry now?
Hard to pressure brady as it is. Now give those fools Moss.

We didn't have the ammo to go get him anyway.

When you use the model that the Patriots use of stockpiling picks (same model the 49ers and Cowboys used BTW during their great runs) you always control the momentum of the race.

I expect that Tannenbaum is learning an important lesson today, which is that there are no shortcuts to slaying the Patriot beast. You build a good deep team and then you take a run at them and try and knock them out. Drafting 4 players in a year is probably losing a step to them regardless of who the 4 players are unless you get all of them in the first few rounds.

I'm ok with all of this at this point because I know that 2007 is a rebuilding year, not the year that we're going to make a big push for it. If we do stuff like this again next year then we're the new Redskins waiting to happen.

Wow. At this stage and under these circumstance, Moss is truly a boom or bust proposition. Some say he still has his speed and skills intact while others say he has lost a step. There are those who say he quit on the Raiders last year (along with half of his teammates) and those who say he will bust his ass for a team with players whom he respects such as Brady & Co..

Although he's had his share of great outdoor games I seem to remember him preferring to play indoors on turf. He's always had great hands but was never a good route runner and in his heyday, he basically ate DBs alive with his incredible speed and leaping ability. Never liked to work the middle of the field and was a crappy blocker too. When he was on though, I can't think of any other WR who more positively impacted the performances of the players around him. particularly his fellow WRs and RBs.

Of course, if he really goes to NE, I hope he's a total bust but deep down, I had always hoped he would be reunited with Chad (they remain very good friends) and display his top form in Green and White.

    Randy Moss is not TO.

He seems to get along well w/ his teammates and the whole reason he wanted to be traded to NE is bc 1. they are a sb contender and 2. tom brady

I honestly am soo pissed they got him bc I think he will be reasserting himself as the BEST WR in the NFL and that sucks for us.

Well, I can pretty much assure you now that Barrett will not get cut. With the depth the Pats have at WR, we're going to need all the guys we have (Revis, Dyson, Miller, Barrett, Poteat, Coleman) plus more to keep them locked down long enough to pull off a W in 1 of 2 games every year. God dammit!

How does taking Russell first overall look now when the consensus best player in the draft was Calvin Johnson? If the Raiders traded Moss pre-draft, everyone would have had them all over Johnson. My guess is Al wants to pick 1st again next year.

Pats were Bowl favorite before this trade. Now, it's just getting ridiculous. I guess Bellichek felt bad for leaving Brady with no wideouts last year and has decided to go all out at the position this offseason. It's a shame I will still refuse to grab Brady in a fantasy draft because he will absolutely light it up this year.

    GROSS ON ALL LEVELS.

It is an act of desperation by the Patriots. Grabbing Moss goes completely against their philosophy of the last few years. Moss is bad news.

I must admit, this trade really really urkes me. Why don't we package justin McCariens and one of our 2 picks today and go for Randy?

Do you think it's just hype??

Remember that hey rookie show on ESPn when DeAngelo Hall is going against Moss, Hall thinks he's the man, and moss just blows by him and scored a td on the first play.

We're FANS, not reporters. We'll say what we damn well feel like saying. I hope revis rips the braces out of Moss' mouth...

    Bellichek ANGRY!!!Bellichek load up team!!!!!!!

I seriously don't know how this is gonna play out. Moss can be effective as long as he's happy and not on a loser team. The pats are definitley not a loser team, so this may be huge for them.
