So you have Hobson over Bowens

and Wadsworth as an LB (makes sense)

who is the Haynes you have at DE

Michael Haynes, the ex-Bears first rounder and former Saint

Bowens seems to be more of a situational pass rusher, with Hobson starting

I would say Miller or Coleman grade out above Poteat, and that's a very nice secondary.

Yeh I think so to, but they will have to prove themselves, doesn't surprise me much if they bump him on the depth chart, I hope so but it is what it is

I feel good about everything right now but O-Line, that needs some serious upgrades

i think it needs upgrades, but not 'serious' upgrades. i mean, if we had a really good RG, i think we would be good going into the year.

are there any decent FA RGs available, or for rumored trade?

Ramirez and Beekman are left but most likely will be gone in the 4th so we need to get in there, Faneca is trade bait but is a LG

What about these players, are they no longer on board? Von Oelhoffen, Hodgins, Cody Spencer?

Maybe that's why they felt comfortable trading picks. Not too many open spots on the roster...

    Alright, I walked it off.

    <rose-colored glasses on>

What are we going to have on the roster next year and where do we still need to fill before the season?

SE - Coles, BSmith, Stuckey = No fill necessary
LT - D'Brick, AJones = No fill necessary
LG - Kendall, WSmith, Bender = Fill may be necessary (talent)
C - Mangold, (Kendall) = Fill necessary (depth)
RG - Moore, Clarke = Fill may be necessary (talent)
RT - Clement, AJones, Bender = Fill may be necessary (talent)
TE - Baker, Ryan, Pociask = Fill may be becessary (depth)
FL - Cotchery, McCareins, Wright = Fill may be necessary (depth)
Slot - McCareins, BSmith, Stuckey = Fill may be necessary (talent, depth)
HB - TJones, LWashington, Houston = No fill necessary
FB - Barnes, Tutt = Fill may be necessary (talent)
QB - Pennington, Clemens, Tuiasosopo = No fill necessary
K - Nugent = Fill may be necessary (kickoffs)
KR - Miller = No fill necessary

    P - Graham = No fill necessary
PR - Revis = Fill may be necessary (talent)

LDE - Ellis, Hamilton = Fill may be necessary (talent)
NT - D-Rob, Pouha = Fill may be necessary (talent, depth)
RDE - KColeman, KVO = Fill may be necessary (talent)
LOLB - Hobson, Barton, Bowens, Chatham = No fill necessary
LILB - Vilma, Kassell, Schlegel = No fill necessary
RILB - Barton, Harris, Spencer, Riddle = No fill necessary
ROLB - Thomas, Barton, Bowens, Adams = No fill necessary
LCB - Dyson, DColeman, Hodge = No fill necessary
SS - Rhodes, RWashington = No fill necessary
FS - EColeman, ESmith = No fill necessary
RCB - Revis, Barrett, Miller = No fill necessary
5DB - Barrett, DColeman = No fill necessary
10DB - DColeman, ESmith, Miller = No Fill necessary

Ok, so the biggest questions that remain on the Jets at the moment are the defensive line, where it's possible the Jets don't have anybody capable of playing at a high enough level to win consistently, and on the offensive line at both guards and right tackle.

    There are depth concerns at:

C (where Kendall is the backup which is both a talent concern and a depth concern given that an injury to either Mangold or Kendall makes things really tight)

TE (not enough clearly healthy TE's and proven TE's on the roster)

FB (Barnes and Tutt are not proven with Barnes working on his 4th team in 4 years)

PR (Dwight probably not making the roster and Revis unproven)

All things considered I think Tannenbaum and Mangini still have a lot of work to do to put together a strongly competitive team for 2007.

Excellent point. You can scratch QB from the depth concerns.
