Yeah, that was part of my point too. Was he saying what he meant? It seemed to general to be worth lieing about.
Unless you're trying to convince teams like Pittsburgh that you have no intention to trade up to steal their mancrush of a cornerback. Kalil to CAR.
I'm not a big fan of the two tradeups either, but they are over and done with. Hopefully we have to impact players. Revis will have to start, and if the Jets don't move Barton, then he can platoon with Harris. So far, though, I'd have to give today an emphatic "meh". I'm not second guessing Mangini are Mike T., but still...
I wouldn't have minded at all if we moved up 1 spot earlier to take Carriker. I thought that was a much bigger need for us and he went one spot earlier. Doesn't mean we could have but I would have liked it.
Deion Sanders was drafted #5 Walt Harris #13 Champ Bailey #7 http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=kluck/cornerbacks/070425 There are a lot of good corners drafted in the first 15 picks. If Revis plays like they did, I will be thrilled. Just saying it was a high price to pay so I hope he is as good as advertised.
Agreed. I like the players, but I'm not so sure about the price. If both turn out to be starters for us, and quality starters then we'll be able to justify it, but I was hoping to have four building blocks at the end of the first day and I see only two.
