I think the point that most people are missing here is that Branch is a huge man. If you hadn't noticed, there are a dearth of these guys. Teams are still paying guys like Keith Traylor, Ted Washington, and Dan Wilkinson(well, not anymore) because it's harder to find those monster D-lineman. Even after their athleticism fails them, they're still huge, immovable individuals.

Branch has a high level of talent and versatility that can't be ignored. He's a fit in any scheme, and he can be moved around, much like Richard Seymour. Not everyone is highly motivated, but Branch's high workload, size, and durability make him an obvious selection if available.

If the Jets do make a trade for Branch, and I see that as a high possibility if he slips past #10 then I really think they will make a trade for him. If they do then that makes Drob expendable and The Lions would love him and im sure the jets sould love their 2nd and 3rd round picks too.

Ted Washington has played a lot of NT at 6"5". It's not unreasonable to suggest that Branch could eat up space in the middle of a 3-4. He'd probably need to gain 25 lbs to do it really well though. 6'6" 350lbs would be a monster in the middle. Of course then those shin splints become more worrying.

Part of his slide is due in part to the reality that those shin splints MIGHT be stress fractures. If we were to take him, I'm sure our team doctors would have already made a decision on that. It's definitely a major concern.

Trade up - no way. If he does fall to our spot however, the FO would have to take a long look at him. Either way I think Spencer would make a much bigger impact on our defense and hope that is the pick that we make.

im sorry plastic cloth but i dont agree with any of your draft

No way minnesota takes landry they dont need a safety, if there is no dline available they will go corner or offense or draft quinn

i cant see quinn falling that far down
texans wont take branch they need secondary help and why not take the best db in the draft hall?

also i dont think okoye will go to falcons more likely to take levi brown or move up for calvin or take a de but u had anderson goin at 6 so i dk.

Bills need lbs badly and need a rb so with lynch on the board thats def where they will go if willis isnt on the board still

I love reggie nelson but im pretty sure griffin is ranked higher and is a better player so i think that he will go to jacksonville

I cant see giants picking up grubbs 1 its a high pick and too they just signed a guard no? they have secondary worries and there wrs are all old.

Kansas city chiefs yes they need a safety but they are in also need of o lineman since everyone is retiring, and they need a wr

No wya jets pick timmons when ross jarrett ginn and blaylock are on the board
    26. Philadelphia Eagles wr is a possibility but if griffin is there they are definitely picking griffin.

chargers with jarrett is a good pick but they could go with ginn too

    No way in hell
    1. ginn falls to 31
    2. they draft ginn

Hester might be moving to wr so there is no way that ginn will be t akin by them.

    Sorry for the harsh criticism

Another good thing about him slipping is that it might drop Harrell into our lap.

Minnesota needs help with their Pass-D , so they Landry as the best S is reasonable for them

Quinn might fall like Leinart did and Miami would be his security blanket

Atlanta needs help on the D-Line so Okoye is a reasonable pick

Philly lost Stallworth and I think they are going with the best WR left on the board and Bowe is definatly worth it.

I think Ginn will fall completly out of the first round, don't know why it's just a gut feeling.
