Show me where I have EVER said the best conf or league is the one that wins the SB? I use certain #s to justify a certain conf or division being better than another but it's not all based on who wins the Championship.. I have said many times that even though the ACC won 3 of 5 titles from '01-'05 that it wasn't the best conf ine ach of those 3 years, I have also said that the AL wasn't always the best when the Yankees were winning their Championships in the mid90s-early '00s. Sometimes the best conf or div sends the best team and they win it all, other times they don't. Don't make stuff up unless you can prove and I invite you to show me where I said what you wrote. If you can't find it or don't want to look then pipe down and don't get invovlved in the discussion.

can you define what constitutes a fluke championship. Seems to me that beating the best team in the NL and then destroying the best team in the supposedly superior AL, they earned there WS championship..

an 83 win team winning the WS is a little fluky espcially w/ the choking tradition SL has had under Tony LaRussa. SL won the WS last year, they were NOT the best team in baseball last year. They were not even the best team in their league as the Mets clearly were head and shoulders better than SL but SL got it done when it counted and they deserved to win it but it was fluky. Maybe it was a make up for some of their really good teams that didn't win it in the past decade? They won it on the field but that was not a great team.

They are still the World Champs, whether they get the junc stamp of approval or not.

I know if it was the Yanks it wouldn't dampen your spirit if they won 83 games and won the WS.

They won it and they deserve it but they weren't a great team and the NL was clearly inferior to the AL despite the fact that the NL champ won it all.

Regular season only counts for league dominance not Arod?

You are too funny, almost bi-polar.

Everything counts, if the leagues were close ten the WS could put one league over the top but the AL was vastly sperior and one series won't change that.

it's completely different when talking about ARod. ARod is on a team that will get to the playoffs every year, the reg season is almost like exhibition so obviously the postseason weighs alot more when a player is as bad as ARod has been in october. keep reaching.

So the Yankees have done well in "exhibition" just not the playoffs and WS the last 7 years?

Are they a barnstorming team now?

Haven't you repeatedly used FF results to demonstrate the ACC's superiority to the BE in the basketball thread? Whether that is a reasonable way to measure of a conference/league's depth is another question, but you did use it to defend your argument there.

That is a completely different argument, when one conf repeatedly sends mroe teams deep in the Tourney than any other then that seperates them from another. I did not simmply say b/c Maryland won the title in 2002 the ACC was best in 2002 b/c the ACC stunk in 2002.

There are 9 mil conf's in CBB, there are just 2 leagues in MLB and when they played during the season the AL humiliated the NL, in the WS SL was hot and won. The best team doesn't always win and the team that wins the WS didn't necessarily come from the better league.

Do you think the Mets would have won the division if they played in the AL east? Seriously.

How come when Junc loses all the baseball arguments, he lowers himself to lame gay jokes. Very childish.
