Igawa has pitched well since his first game debacle. No matter who the Yanks have sent to the mound we have gotten good starts since the slow start that first week. Not bad considering 3 of our starters are on the DL.

It doesn't hurt that we have scored 83 runs either, the most in baseball.

That has taken some pressure off the starters but they have pitched well.

Heh, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

That said, our pitching does look good lately. I attribute it to the plethora of youth, and Andy Pettitte really taking all of these guys under his wing. He's leading the charge, and everyone is marching along in time.

I think the same is true of ARod on the offensive end. He's crushing anything even close, and the other guys seem to be feeding off of it. We're just scoring runs in bunches now. It's fun to watch!

It's still far too early to get upset or excited, but I really like what I'm seeing from this team. And now those DL guys are starting to come back too. First Karstens, then Matsui.

1PM start today people. (I hate day games during the workweek...)

This lineup is going to score a ridiculous number of runs this year. Just wait till next week when Matsui re-enters the lineup.
