I pulled this from Todd McShay's ESPN article. You need to be an insider to see this, but i thought everyone needs to because it shows how the Jets can get better as a Defense...

"Champ Bailey is arguably the NFL's premier cover corner, yet the Broncos' pass defense ranked 21st last season. Conversely, San Diego's Shawne Merriman (17), Green Bay's Aaron Kampman (15.5), Buffalo's Aaron Schobel (14), Miami's Jason Taylor (13.5), Baltimore's Trevor Pryce (13), Carolina's Julius Peppers (13) and St. Louis' Leonard Little (13) were the seven players who accounted for the NFL's top five sack totals last season. The only one of those seven players whose team did not finish in the top half of the league in pass defense was Kampman -- and the Packers ranked 17th overall."

I think the Jets need a sack master DE IMO

Bingo. Please let us put to bed the CB in round 1 talk and start dreaming front 7 sack master! Other than maybe an automatic OL starter, I think this has to be the way to go. Even with the FA signings, pass rush is still a liability for us. I've got my fingers crossed and hoping for Spencer to be there at #25.

My money's still on Woodley. He may be dropping down all of these mock draft boards, but when the real draft comes around, I just don't see as many teams looking past his production.

I'm coming around to Woodley mostly based on his value. A guy with a motor like that would be great value in the second. I'm really kind of hoping for a draft like: Justin Blalock, Ikaika Alama-Francis, Lamarr Woodley and AJ Davis on the first day.

nice point-- also, there are so many nice corners this year. Check the top 25 guys or so-- about half of them are 5-11 or better, and running 4.5 or faster. While they may not all have the body of work, this year has a ton of corners with the physical size and speed to be NFL players.

Spence or Woodley or Moses please. I would even "settle" for DeOssie, Tucker, or Robinson.

I agree with the OP 100%.

Typing high is funny. The backspace is my friend.
