Belichick has the book on Pennington and has since the first time he took a snap. Unlike last year he has the personnel on both sides of the ball to start our season off bad. There will be no excuses for Chad. His arm will rested.
It's time for him to put up or usher in the Clemens era!

I like opening up against the Patriots. The Jets have the home crowd, the Pats, do not.

I'm looking forward to Sept. 9th.

It's never too early for predictions for you. You predicted the Jets would go 14-2 or 13-3 before the draft last year.

No the excuse will be he was over used in the xhibition season which is the reason he had no zip on the ball in game 1

If they save him in the pre-season it will be he did not have enough reps or the line did not have enough time to gel or Jones has to get used to the system or Coles is old and needs to be replaced. Everybody else will get the blame.

shit...tough start folks no matter what glasses you are wearing.....

the problem with the pats now is that they added several players that they will be installing new wrinkles on both sides of the ball.... things the jets did not see in 3 games last year.

it is not unusual for a team in year 2 of rebuilding to have a step back - less breaks, injuries and tougher schedule. IMO next year will be more telling for this franchise than last year going forward.

looking forward to it as usual

..or they win, Chad plays great, and you don't post because you are on "Vacation" again the following week. You know what "Vacation" is Champ. Those are the weeks where you read but don't post. :)

I will be here and I hope Im wrong. I used to be a Chad supporter. By the Bengals game next year we will all be darksiders calling for Chad to be replaced.

I don't think this benefits the Jets much at all. First, the film is not going to change that much from last year. Also the Jets will have more new players that will need to make an immediate impact and they will not be 100% with the new system. I think it gives the Pats a pretty good advantage. I would have rather seen them in a few weeks after we get time to gel and work out the kinks...none the less, I can't wait.

I totally agree. Last year was a pass with the schedule we had.

Years prior, sure...But with all the stuff from last season, most notably the Mangini-Belichick stuff...This game has so much more in it, pretty much like last season...And now with the slowly improving Jets and the always good Patriots, it just makes this an exciting Week 1.

This sucks. I get amped for New England already. I'd rather play a team I don't care as much about week one, but the place goes crazy anyway just because it's the first game, and then the place gets crazy when NE comes in. Now we might have a deader crowd for one of the games.

best game one for this year....

wow i have been gong for so long, and have alot to type regarding the jets its incredible... ofcourse i will break it up into parts, into many diffrent threads like i always used to do. but its good to be back for good.

    Thomas Jones.

    and leon washington, wow.

Coles, Cotchery, mcCareins, Smith, our offensive line, pennington.

    should do nicely together.

Our defense, nothing to be said bad about them, this year.

we will be in the playoff hunt.. i have foreseen it.... with my incredible intellectual powers,   this will come to pass.:pats_suck:

I see a changing of the guard here. No way we come out flat in this one. The boys will be charged up and put it to the stinkin Pats.

I'm a bit dissapointed. I was really hoping for a tougher schedule so we can prove ourselves to the NFL and to the world. Guess that will have to wait for week 2. Damn.
