NFL.com's Gil Brandt reports that the Jets have scheduled workouts with Cuse's Tanard Jackson and Texas' Brian Robison. Both of these players are impressive, especially Robison who turned alot of heads at the combine by being a monster. He is seen as a OLB/DE tweener. I like both these guys, but these workouts seem to mean that a CB may be taken with one of the 2nd rd picks.

2 of my favorite prospects. especially jackson. Jackson, i feel can fit any scheme and shine in it. I would take strong look at him in the second. dont worry about his "character issues", he is what mangini likes, tough, hardworking and loves the sport.

robison did well at a high profile college, and shined at the combine. would fit our scheme very well. would love to get both these guys.

IMO Jackson's off the field issues are nothing to worry about. About 2 years ago he was suspended for "conduct detrimental to the team". specifics werent released on exactly what happened, so im not too sure about that. some reports say it was family business, im sure it wasnt serious. Last season he was stabbed in the chest at a party. reports have said he was trying to break up the fight. he quoted "I was at the wrong place at the wrong time". he was trying to do the right thing.

But on the field, the kids a player. IMO the best tackler of the DB's this year. Is versatile, can play corner or saftey. even though he started every game at syracuse, scouts say he may not be fast enough for corner. I say b.s. In my memory, i cant think of a time where he let a reciever by him. Good size. Closes on the ball very quickly. and can play in a zone or man.

Thats good praise. Didn't you guys play some top tier teams this year with strong receivers?
