41 on the Wonderlic. Case closed.

Plus versatility: he can play either guard or RT

Plus he will be good value at 25. BPA AND at a position of need.

Plus he is well suited to a power rushing attack (as is Mr. Jones)

Plus a friggin 41 - that's the highest of anyone at the combine.

They say Blaylock is falling fast in the draft. If he is that good, why? What is wrong with him?

I like that assessment. With the Jets looking at CBs that are projected in the 2nd rd, Blalock looks like the right pick, solidifying the line for the next 5-8 years. But I will only take Revis as the other selection in the 1st rd.

Analysis says that he is not a great technician, and relys too much on natural ability. That is typical of a guard straight out of college. Since the Jets have Tony Wise as their O-line coach this kid will do fine in the NFL as a starter in week 1. All it'll take is to coach technique to make Blalock 1st round worthy.

According to this, Revis is long gone by the time the Jets come around, i don't see them passing on Blaylock for McCauly, and i think Revis will go shortly after Leon Hall who won't make it out of top 16. All in all, if we had a line consisting of stall wharts Ferguson, Mangold, Blaylock and Harris, we might have a KC like force for a decade. I honestly don't see a scenerio where this woulnd't be the top priority of this draft based on what is out there and what will be left by the time our late 2nd rounders come up.

That draft would be pretty sweet except for Hughes. Maybe Josh Wilson. Eric Wright would be on point. Then in the 3rd take Mike Walker Wr. What a first day that would be.

I'd be happy with Blalock, but if Purdue's Spencer is still on the board, I'd be shocked if we didn't take him.

Trade the pick. It's a crapshoot with anybody at 25 and unless they are instant starters and perform well they will most likely be labeled a bust. Especially a CB.

will grubbs be at that spot. He is currently a higher prospect the only thing is.. do the jets want to replace brandon moore? or do they want to go for a RT. I dont see them taking blalock because if the jets are looking for help at RT they'll draft joe staley and if they want help at guard they'll go with grubbs.

Blalock is probably falling because Texas lineman have SUCKED in the NFL in recent years.

    Does anyone know their Santayana?

Lord, another oversized Texas guy who spent the last four years overwhelming defenders with his physical superiority, something he won't be able to do in the pros. A first round guard? Thanks but no thanks.

From what I have heard Joe Staley projects as a much better LT than a RT because of his unique quickness and speed...

I would be surprised if we took another OL in RD 1...Not saying I would be dissapointed...just surprised.

I think CB, OL, and NT are our biggest needs.

I would much rather see the Jets pick up a CB in RD 1 and then take a Olineman and WR in the late second RD...

I dont want another O-lineman in the first no problem in the second if we have to but not in the 1st.

The problem with us taking a CB is that, why bother taking a CB if Chris Houston and Rarryl Revis are gone and that is likley to be the case.As far as O line, we pretty much have our pick of who we want, outside of Joe Thomas and Levi Brown. Plus upgrading our running game is a must, plus we need depth at OL .We were fortunate that we didnt have injuries on the line last season. If we go with those same players this year and we have some injuries on that line, our depth does not look good at all and our running and passing games will suffer hence the need to upgrade the O line.
