Jose Reyes needs to add 1 pound to hit the 200 lb mark. He put on 5 lbs of muscle over the winter and reported to camp at 199. Damn, at 6ft1 and 200 lbs, he is now sturdier than Jeter who is 6ft3 and 195. I remember when he first came up to the Mets weighing about 165. And the added weight has not seemed to slow him down one step. Ricky Henderson says the guy should steal 75 bases and hit 30 home runs by accident.

LoL. Met Fans just love the comparison to the Yankees. Everything about the franchise is always in respect to how the Yanks are doing.

Yankees losing > More important then the Mets winning. Absolutely pathetic.

Yankees have a historically great franchise. Met fans watch what Yankees are doing just as Jet fans watch what the Patriots are doing.

Exactly. Yankees fans should be flattered. You rarely hear any Mets fan say the Yankees are bad. How could we? The Yankees have been great. We want to be like them. Who wouldn't? And you know what? We're getting there.

Now can Mariano stop using Billys song please? It's very bush league :)

Neither the Yankees or the Mets are going to win their respective division, regardless of cheeseburgers or how many times Metallica is played: BoSox/Braves

Wow good post quality with a lot of information and a good stance to provide an argument to what I said. Thanks for your contribution to nothing. Like I said: BoSox/Braves. The sox have the rotation/bullpen to dismantle the AL east, Braves a good young hitting team with solid d, good starting pitching, and they've finally solidifed the bullpen this offseason.

I didn't say good, I said solid. As in capable of getting the job done. But I agree, our D is "laugh your ass off" worthy. Andruw Jones is horrible. Probably all around one of the worst CF'ers that's come around in a long while. Just because the Braves don't have Jose Reyes in the infield, doesn't mean they don't have a solid defense. You guys are miserable posters.

Sports Illustrated has the Braves ranked #10 overall in the league. Yankees, Mets and BoSox are in the top 5. The Braves right side of the infield with Scott Thorman and Kelly Johnson is laughable. Chipper Jones is really showing his age at 34. The Braves have no infield (Woody Woodward?) or outfield (Matt Diaz) depth.

Besides Andruw and Frenchy your D sucks.

And Belltran is better then tubby in center anyway.

    Who ate all the pies?

We'll find out this weekend if the Braves are that good, or the Phillies are that bad. The Amazins are in town.

The Braves could be pretty decent this year, they scored a ton of runs last year, but the pen killed them, adding Soriano and Gonzales makes that a strength this year. I'd still say they finish 3rd, but if Hudson has a great year they could pass one of Mets/Phillies

Thanks for the decent, intelligble posts.

I agree, the Mets are the team to beat, but I think that Wickman coming to Atlanta is a big boost, we lost so many games in June due to a horrible pen. I think I'm going to Smoltz/Glavine tomorrow.

So, you come on this board and predict Brave/Red Sox division winners and now in your post, you agree the Mets are the team to beat. Where is the logic? OR, did we change your mind?
