PS. Manuel Ramirez was removed for medical reasons, today it was learned he recently suffered a torn patella tendon in his knee and it was mis-diagnosed during the season as a knee sprain, so he had to have it surgically repaired .. we believe that is more serious than a broken ankle {i.e. Micheal Bush}, therefore Bush remained in the TOP 100 while Manny has been removed .. it may have been a slight tear, but petella tendons are no joke, that's basically the injury that finished Joe Klecko as a dominant player, so we're proceeding with caution till we see what comes of this revelation
No vision, the list is not 1 thru 100, it's just a TOP 100 "in no particular order", players listed by position That's why Walker is listed with the WR's, but in actuality he would be towards the back of the TOP 100, late 3 or early 4
Jabba that's great man I'm a real draftnik and always check those sights out and your posts. What do you think of the Jets drafting Anthony Spencer at 25? I think he could be another Merriman. Your thoughts.
Thanks CM, I highly recommend the draft blog over at draftdaddy, the guy who does that page is a maniac, updated it like crazy, and rarely does anything worth mentioning get by him .. he's the smartest draftnik I know, and I've been at this a long time As to your question, I like Spencer a lot, I have him rated ahead of Jarvis Moss, so I think he's a very realistic possiblity for the Jets at #25 Overall .. it will depend on which other players fall to the Jets, like maybe one of the Blue-Chip Corners or maybe they like RT/OG Justin Blalock or OG Ben Grubbs, but I would suspect that Anthony Spencer is one of the very real possiblities in that spot, and he is a perfect fit at 34 Rush OLB
My own personal TOP 20 Overall, in numerical order 01- QB JaMarcus Russell 02- WR Calvin Johnson 03- RB Adrian Peterson 04- DT Amobi Okoye 05- S LaRon Landry 06- QB Brady Quinn 07- OT Joe Thomas 08- OT Levi Brown 09- DE Gaines Adams 10- LB Patrick Willis 11- DL Adam Carriker 12- DE Jamaal Anderson 13- WR Dwayne Bowe 14- CB Chris Houston 15- WR Ted Ginn 16- CB Darrelle Revis 17- S Reggie Nelson 18- OL Justin Blalock 19- OG Ben Grubbs 20- RB Marshawn Lynch
Given our need for outside speed, supposing Meachem is off the board at 25, and we get (In a perfect world) Blalock, and going one step further, that with Russell going at 1 overall to Oakland, and them coming around again at the top of 3, do you suppose Valu meets need well enough to grab Walker with one fo our 2nd rounders ? second, What about Vilma and 25, to TB to get Johnson at 4? (They need a 4-3 MLB to replace S.Quarells...)
I don't think we have to use a 2, Hobbs .. I'm very confident Walker will be there for us in RD 3 He barely made the TOP 100, he was one of the final additions Don't get me wrong, I like him, that's why I added him, but I think he's a LATE 3 or EARLY 4
Re: Ramirez Jabba re: Ramirez Ramirez played his junior and senior years with that torn patella. Only missing one game. It was originally misdiagnosed as tendonitis. It has since been repaired (after Senior Bowl Jan 22) and rehabbed. He is scheduled to work out from pro scouts on 21st of April. With a decent workout his stock should rise to top of second round. I would love for Jets to get this guy in second round. Ramirez is everything Mangini looks for in a player. Smart, he played in system at Texas Tech with various complicated passing scheme. Tech also uses very wide OL splits where he had to move or react quick to get on his block. Tech really didn?t utilize perhaps his primary talent or strength as a drive blocker Selfless, he played two years at a high level with painful injury. Good citizen and leader. Strong, he had a 575 lb bench, 750 lb squat, and 40 reps with 225. Tough and plays with a mean streak. Jabba, this just a suggestion that you might want to reconsider removing him from list. He is going to make some fans very happy next season. I hope it is the Jets.
Nah, they won't do it, they're not even entertaining offers so far as I know, I think they're zoned in on CJ too The only team that I know for sure would make that trade is Washington, but I wouldn't make that deal with the Skins to move up to #6 Overall, I'll only do it if they sweeten the pot and toss in next years 2nd Rounder as well, AND THEY MIGHT, they're suckers when it comes to trading draft picks
I love him as a player, njjets .. believe me, I don't need to be convinced about his ability and I love his size too, legit Road Grader, but I'm not as sold on the idea that this revelation is no big deal .. I read that too, I saw that report, but I'm not convinced, repairing a torn petella {whether he played with it or not} is a serious concern this close to the draft Like I said, that's the injury that destroyed Joe Klecko ..after that he was a shell of his former self But I'll keep an open mind, we'll need some time to get a better feel for how teams are reacting to this news, and I'll keep an open mind if the consensus is it's a non-issue, but right now I have to drop him out of the TOP 100 until I can get a better feel for how this is being viewed
