Hahahahahahaha. I thought my browser was on the fritz with the random bold characters. I like that. Well Done.
Incorrect, gus. If you read the wording of the poll, it makes your previous question void since I specified the formation specifically to counter your argument. Which I knew someone would try to bring up.
He'll be listed as a DE, but will play OLB. He will be our version along with BT of Adelius(however u spell his name) Thomas. Our DE's will be Ellis and ??? but I do NOT think Bowens will be opposite Ellis EVERY down.
Why? The guy is a pure pass rusher and has the perfect size for the 3-4 OLB and handle the DE position when we're in the 3-4. We needed more OLB/DE hybrids. Since the 3-4 is our base, he'll be one of the OLBs at the position.
Ha Ha...don't want to dissapoint now:up: If the season were to start tomorrow my guess is that he would start as an OLB , but come the season start , DE after hes bulked up
Not wishing to hijack this thread but whos going to play in the middle? Interesting pick might be Zarnell Fitch. Fitch, originally signed to the Jets? practice squad on December 27, is a native of Spencer, Oklahoma and played two years (2004-2005) at TCU. In his two-year career, he recorded a total of 34 tackles with two interceptions, a forced fumble and a sack. At 6-3, 320 pounds, he certainly looks the part to play 3-4 nose tackle, but whether he can do it, remains to be seen.
Don't get me wrong, I get the argument, but the signing of this guy with the potential he has shown makes me thinking he's going to be situational from the edge... I think we'll know more once the draft is over and once the June 1 cuts happen. I just wanted to clarify everyone's opinions on where they think he's more suited to play considering what he was doing in Miami.
