I don't know if this was posted, so sorry if it was. I saw it posted on another site, it's from Scout.com.
He won't be around when we draft in the 2nd , so I say trade down. This guy to me has so much potential it gives me shivers. I'm not sure that I would want him in the 1st but definetly in the 2nd.
I can see us taking a DE in the first day especially for Alama-Francis. We've signed four DE's but I only see two of them making the cut, especially if we take A-F. I think he'd be a solid pickup. We'll see.
anyone have access to this? http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/insi...lumns/story?columnist=kiper_jr_mel&id=2703656
Honestly, I could see us drafting him pretty easily. I think we'll go into the season with Ellis, Coleman, and Haynes as the main guys on the D-line. Someone like Francis could strengthen our young rotation and be a potential starter in the future. He's really talented, and he seems like a hard worker with a high motor. The comparisons to a bigger, faster Castillo are also exciting. Castillo is one of the best young 3-4 ends in the league.
He's doing a journal on draftscout.com where he talks a bit about the Jets' interest. Also nice just to get a sense of him:
That weight is wrong but is what was reported. On thing to note about Alama-Francis is his dad played in the NFL for the Packers I believe so he has pedigree. Also if you read ESPN the Mag there was a nice article about him which demonstrated how his dad instilled desire in him by making him walk onto the Hawaii team so that he earned his way instead of having him be handed anything.
