A 5.70 40-time?... I wish I knew that before I submitted my pick. Other than a shitty 40-time, it's a decent pick.
I really like Brian Robison, his #s at the combine are up with 1st rd players. Robison will probably most effective as an OLB in a 3-4 scheme.......he might be someone the Jets look at at the end of Rd 2, his stock is on the rise.
Nice pick Vision. But I hate you, I had this draft all planned out from here on out, and he was going to my Steelers in this round, THANKS A LOT FOR RUINING IT!
Noooo, my plan is being ruined by the hour. Mason Crosby I had going for the Cowboys, I am getting some horrible luck.
GREEN BAY PACKERS 1. Adam Carriker, DL, Nebraska 2. Brian Leonard, RB/FB, Rutgers 3. Jonathan Wade, CB, Tennessee 4. Josh Gattis, S, Wake Forest Gattis - 6' 1"/210 - Ran in the 4.4's at his recent Pro Day Physical Guy with a nice size/speed ratio .. Big Hitter and Good in coverage .. 10 INT's in 05/06, which is a lot for a Safety .. played a big part in the most sucessful season in Wake Forest history in 06 as he helped lead them to a BCS Bowl Game ON THE RISE - Possible Day One Pick
I still like the pick. You got yourself a big nasty guard with a real mean streak. Depending on how quick his feet are, you may be able to plant him at RG for the next decade.
I completely forgot about Mason Crosby for the Falcons... Oh well, I'm still pretty satisfied with Kyle Young.
Just for comparison, these are the picks from fan boards as I go to each one and ask the fans of the team who they'd pick in a mock draft: 1 Oakland : Calvin Johnson (WR) Georgia Tech 2 Detroit: Jamarcus Russell (QB) LSU 3 Cleveland: Adrian Peterson (RB) Oklahoma 4 Tampa Bay: Joe Thomas (OT) Wisconsin 5 Arizona: Gaines Adams (DE) Clemson 6 Washington: Jamaal Anderson (DE) Arkansas 7 Minnesota: LaRon Landry (FS) LSU 8 Houston: Brady Quinn (QB) Notre Dame 9 Miami: Ted Ginn (WR) Ohio State 10 Atlanta: Adam Carriker (DE) Nebraska 11 San Francisco Robert Meacham (WR) Tennessee 12 Buffalo: Amobi Okoye (DT) Louisville 13 St. Louis Alan Branch (DT) Michigan 14 Carolina: Reggie Nelson (FS) Florida 15 Pittsburgh: Paul Posluszny (OLB) Penn State 16 Green Bay: Marshawn Lynch (RB) California 17 Jacksonville: Jarvis Moss (DE) Florida 18 Cincinnati: Patrick Willis (ILB) Mississippi 19 Tennessee: Dwayne Bowe (WR) LSU 20 N.Y. Guys, I am here, but the last few picks have really hurt me becasue I was focused in on Crosby, DeOssie and Waters, so I will have my pick in 1 second.
The steelers have always been most succesful with 2 RB schemes. Back when they had Bettis paired up with a speedy back they were unstoppable. Well now they have Willie Parker running to the outside, and Wright pounding in touchdowns, and you ahve yourself one hell of a running back tandem that compliment eachother wonderfully. What does everyone else think of the pick though?
There are at least three major fan sites that I know of for the jets and i'm sure other teams are like that. How are you determining which fansite you use?
Since I made two of those three picks (Crosby and Waters) I will say thank you for the compliment. Crosby I took because I feld he was a high value pick even though I hated the Nugent pick. Waters is probably my favorite sleeper in this draft. I would love to se him in a Jets uniform.
Yeah I wanted Crosby for the Cowboys and Waters and DeOssie for the Steelers, so you basically ruined my plan, lol. I think Crosby was great picks, and Waters was pretty good too, but maybe a little bit of a reach, and because you got Willis in the 1st round, it doesn't look like as good of a pick. What did you think of Wright for the Steelers?
you're taking a WR out of LANE in the 4th ROUND?! Are you bonkers?! Yeah, Colston is the new pride of Hofstra (im a proud alum) but they didn't grab him till the 7th Round... I mean thanks for leaving the better valued players for the rest of us (me in particular) but I just think thats nuts.
Niners....get some OL help and depth with Tim Duckworth, OG, Auburn. Tim has played well and has been ovewrshadowed by Grubbs. Can eventually be a starter and develop into a solid , but not spectular OG, and play many years in the league.
